VP, Executive VP, several higher up engineers escorted out of the office yesterday by security. Rumors flying that many more to follow next week. Promotion for me? Hope so.

The company I work for was just bought out by another company, or a 'merger' as it's been spun. We've been having that happen at several locations over the past few weeks. Each week it is a different department at different places. Fun Times ahead for me and I'm a nobody there.

This was several 35 plus year guys (including VP's) that were fired (I.e. not allowed to retire) so something went down.

Dayum...My VP/Boss' boss, got let go and his severance package included at least a years pay and benefits. I think he had close, if not over, 20 years with the company.

Nah, I've only been there for 7 years and just a MIS Grunt. I figure they will outsource my job and I'll get on with the outsourced company. Just like I did when I was in Security and Safety back in 2006, with the same company. I was rehired months later into the MIS Dept.
Or I'll get a few months severance and get a quick job to double dip for a while. I've got some money set back just in case.
Worse case scenario, I'll beg Justin to make me a Mod and I'll make Bank!!!
