Oregon has loaded the bases in the 9th trailing 7-4. No outs. Kent St freshman All-American gets pulled after not getting an out in the 9th.

Wow what a finish!
Kent St wins
Oregon's 9 hole hitter hit a ball square on the nose to Left Center on the first pitch. Kent St CF makes a running catch fully extended to save the game.
Congrats to Kent St one game away from the CWS.

Maybe a little bit of rumors going on with Kent State's coach...
He may get (or attempted to be) wooed away by Michigan, who has a vacancy. Apparently Kent State's coach is the real deal and the next big time coach.

Ohio State has whiffed twice by not hiring him.

My daughter's friend just hit a homer in the 10th to help Florida win, they are going to Omaha.
3rd time is a charm.
I hope Kent St & Stony Brook make it.

Sawyer Polen is the starting 3B for Kent State and had an RBI single, walk, and run scored (ended up being winning/7th run) in their win over Oregon.THE4RINGZ;1194473 wrote:Wayne County native (Triway HS Alum) Sawyer Polin is on the KSU roster exciting times again here in WC.

How many years did you coach Sawyer?

Can anyone explain to me why the B1G is so bad at baseball? Is it strictly a climate-based thing?bases_loaded;1194489 wrote:Ohio State has whiffed twice by not hiring him.

Lots of northern schools make that case, but look at who this thread is about. Weather seems like a convenient excuse to me

Kent St catcher threw out a Duck stealing 2nd, then threw out a runner on 1st in the same inning. Impressive plays. Kent St up 2-0 bottom 4th as the home team in Oregon.

I think it's just a secondary sport for them, he'll Wisconsin doesn't even have a team. OSU has a huge budget and it shouldn't be forgotten there, but it is.
