Rumors that Under Armour will use some material that will keep it cool, and use it to promote their new Cold Black line:

Interesting. I wonder how it'll look on television, and I assume both teams will have to wear their "white" unis?

$10 says if someone made a white field there would be cries of racism.

Only rule is white is the contrasting color. I think a FCS school in Washington has a red field.

Their lighter colored jerseys, regardless if they're considered their home or away uni's.

Eastern Washington is red. Central Arkansas has a purple field. Nebraska Danger (indoor football) has an all-black field. Looks pretty cool. Will have to wait and see. The turtle shell design in the black may look psychedelic when seen live.

Maryland is so pretentious right now. School has been screaming 'look at us look at us!'

It started when they fired the Fridge thinking they would hire a big time coach and continued with the ridiculous uniforms

Doubtful. They don't make teams like MSU wear their away jerseys.

Most teams' dark unis are just colored anyway. Blue, red, etc wouldn't be a problem.

Good point. However, I just was just wondering due to the unique circumstances....isn't Boise State now prohibited from wearing their blue unis at home?

Not sure. I thought they wore blue at home, but maybe recently they don't.

It appears the ban is only for home league games:

http://www.usatoday.com/sports/college/football/mwest/2011-07-27-boise-state-no--blue-uniforms-for-league-games_n.htm
BOISE (AP) — Boise State players will no longer sport their all-blue uniforms for conference games on Bronco Stadium's iconic blue turf, the result of a concession school officials say they made last year as part of the team's entrance into the Mountain West Conference.

meh, Maryland still sucks. Even with the new field they won't win but 4-5 games next year.
