It isn't part of the story ran in the Beacon-Journal but I read elsewhere that he was offered the DC United head coaching job on Monday but decided to stay at the school.

This is great news especially with only 1 senior leaving the team. Rumor has it the team will be going to North Carolina next season for a few matches against ACC opponents.

Very disseminated in the route that Indiana choose. Apparently he would have been interested in the job, but IU was focused on getting in the great Jerry Yeagleys son in, Todd. todd has 1 year of coaching and it wasnt all that stellar. Not to say that Porter would have returned to Bloomington, but he said it didnt matter because he sees that IU is going to hire Todd Yeagley.
