I understand that some people have physical and or medical problems but really. </SPAN>
Wife and I when to the Hartville Flea Market on Saturday and Monday morning to look for some items and get some fresh veg and fruit. </SPAN>
My first observation was that there were a lot of people riding those electric carts. </SPAN>
Hell if this keeps up Hartville Flea Market will have to install traffic lights at the intersection of each row. Is our society becoming that weak and depend. </SPAN>
The majority of those on those motorized carts where over weight, simply fat asses.</SPAN>
Riding, eating and slowing down the flow of people looking &#8230; Get your fat ass off the cart and walk, maybe just maybe you would not have to have the cart if you took a few steps to losing weight. </SPAN>
I even saw one lady get out of her cart, stand up to pick up an item WTF and then get back on the cart, finish her hot dog and chips and ride away.</SPAN>

Maybe someday I will need a cart (I have sugar, I work hard to control it) but it sure in the hell will not be because obesity.

I think that the idea of getting a cart provides no incentive to solving the problem of those who are over weight. It just eazier not to help yourself improve the situation.

I love it when I get behind these "Two Ton Tilley's" in the line at Walmart, where they seem to be most prevalent. Their shopping cart usually consists of the full line of Hostess products, various bags of chips, a ton of pop/soda and candy.

The carts have made it easier for fat people to shop. I am sure that plays into Wal Mart's marketing strategy, it seems they have almost one cart available for every shopper. So they send the message out that we make it easier for fat people to shop here, word gets around and they all show up.

But I agree it is just a sign of the times, and how America is enabling those peole to remain in the state they are in.

Has anyone ever tipped over a fat person cart with a fat person in it? Kind of the supermarket version of cow-tipping? Because that just seems like great fun.

Sounds like a pretty awesome OC gathering. How many can you tip over before being arrested.

Of course, the spouse of person in said cart is required to stand beside in the the aisle so that no one can pass them while they argue over the merits of brand name vs. store brand marshmallows.

In all fairness, some (but certainly not all) of these people got to be so heavy after their mobility was decreased for other reasons - it's not easy to change your eating habits when your calorie burn drops to 1000 a day. My FIL had serious circulation problems in his legs - during the two years before he passed away, he could not walk for more than about ten minutes before his legs would swell up to twice their normal size. During that time, he put on at least 75 pounds.
