Mat Latos vs Jamie Moyer
The Reds MUST be patient or this guy will go 7 2/3 and beat us.
Dusty gives Heisey the day off because his 3 RBI, 3 times on base, 2 hits, 2 runs were of no value yesterday. We cannot allow him to feel like he's a regular starter.

Reds will win 10-5 if they work Moyer...will lose 5-3 if they don't.

Heisey has had a career high 16 starts this month. He's hitting .323 in those 16 starts.

Joey Votto just scouted up while Moyer was in his windup and hit a HR

Been saying it for the past year or so, dude was never given a real chance to play. It's amazing what regular PT will do

Moyer is a joke. Tied Ted Williams on the career HR list.

Sooooo any homeruns. I'm guessing the total at the end will be 8.

Cargo has to have 100 home runs vs the reds. Just kills our pitching.

Kudos to Dusty for bringing in the best to face the best.....he won't be available next game....but you gotta get every win you can. Ondrusek and Marshall can work the next game.

Agreed. The Rockies were capable of winning that game against someone else. Chapman had to pitch the final outs of the game and that time started when Arredondo walked the batter with 1 down in the 8th. One of my main arguments about Dusty is that he tends to play for the "future" and will monitor the pen at the expense of winning the game currently going on. Today, he used Chapman how he should've, extended time.
I wouldn't count Chapman out tomorrow though. He was off since Wednesday so he may be available. Reds are in great shape heading to PNC.

Gutsy effort from Latos. I was critical of him of him earlier but he gave it everything he had. Still gotta keep the ball down a bit though.

He made about 10 bad pitches and I think 5 of them left the yard....but he pitched how you are supposed to with a lead.
