Per twitter, Pat Shurmer has announced that OSU LB will not play in the NFL. I had read a story that he was contemplating not even working out for teams and going to law school but then got some interest so he worked out.

Yeah, God forbid that occasionally someone on an athletic scholarship actually gets an education and moves on with life. What a loser.

If he's a smart individual and can make a career in a field where he won't be suffering brain damaging collisions every day, I'd say it's a smart decision to pursue the alternative career.

Other than the fact that law is a terrible field to go into right now, I applaud him for pursuing a career and not a job that frankly was unlikely at best.
