I thought this was going to be about an email forward that Belly got because I'm sure he's the type of person that loves those things and believes them (like the one with the photo of Obama holding the wrong hand over his heart, it was an obvious photoshop but who cares, it's Obama so forward away!).

It's really campaign slogan genius. By emphasizing "forward", it's a subliminal message NOT to look backward at his record. Forget hope & change (Obama certainly did), focus on moving "forward".

Forward is synonymous with progressive which equals liberal which is the same as socialist.

Simplistic? Yes because the left is constantly trying on new labels, hoping the labels stick, and doing so with the intention of hiding the fact that they are - well - liberal. The difference between the Tea Party and the Occupy Wall Streeters, just as an example, is that the Tea Party wants the gubmint to GTFO while the OWS clowns want gubmint handout's.
