Trying to plan a bachelor party for my cousin, and we are looking at somewhere in NE Ohio. Cleveland is an option, but besides that, the only thing I can think of is Put-in-Bay, but I've never been. Would PIB be a good spot to have a bachelor party? Is there stuff to do during the day besides drinking? Does anyone have any other recommendations of things to do or places to stay there, or any other ideas in general?

Put-in-Bay is awesome....Your best bet is to stay on Middlebass island then take the ferry over when you're ready to party. Enjoy a great time!

Put-In-Bay is the shit for a bachelor party.

How many in your group?

I went for one two summers ago and had a blast.

If you have a massive group try to rent this beast out. The Benson Ford shiphouse. We had approximately 20 people. I think it was around $125/person for 2 nights. Awesome time.

Went a few years ago for a Bachelor Party and had a blast. Check out the Island Club for house rentals. During the day we rented Scooters and rode around the island.

I had my bachelor party there as well. It was awesome.

If you're looking for adult entertainment, there's a company in Toledo (I think; can't remember) that will send girls over to the island. I think you pay for the girls' ferry ticket; just an idea. Although, you can do what we did and just give a few girls enough drinks until they took their tops off haha.

You really can't go wrong with Put-In-Bay.

Or you can just buy a couple packages of beads.

I spend a lot of my summer on PIB, but have never been there for a bachelor party, but always see plenty of them going on during the weekend up there. There are plenty of bars and eating on the island, and there are also a few night clubs if that's your thing. If you're looking for something to do during the day you can rent wave runners or kayaks, there are a couple of caves you can tour, rent a golf cart/scooters/bikes and tour the island, and there are also several pools with swim-up bars that are open to the public. You can probably do a weekend up there for about $300 a person.

Years ago (1973-74) I would sail to PIB and stay the week end. That was some good times.
The wife and I took a trip back to PIB last summer .... I will never go back .. compared to other Great Lake Island we have visited PIB is by far the worst...

That's a cool house. I see it all the time when I'm up there. It was Henry Ford's shipping liner. He used to cruise the great lakes in it sometimes, had very luxurious quarters for him I heard. Is it still in tact as far as his area?
