Has anyone seen these ultra-bright tiny flashlights? My brother brought one to my mom's at Easter. The strobe feature and design pretty much makes it a weapon if you use it correctly. Anyway, 400+ lumens in a flashlight that fits in your hand. To put that into perspective, a Mag-lite that takes three D batteries puts out less than 80 lumens.
But, they are expensive - what the most you would spend on a flashlight?

most I would spend on a flashlight is like $5-$10.
If I needed an awesome flashflight for something, then I would splurge, but my uses are basically to sit on the garage in case power goes out.

I would only spend $96.50 on a flashlight. Damn.
But seriously, I wouldn't spend more than $10 on one. I can't remember the last time I needed to use one.

Most here would only be willing to spend $97 on a fleshlight.

I have a nice aluminum case smaller LED flashlight, I think I paid around $5 for it. I love it and find myself using it more often than I thought I would.

Streamlight, I believe, is one of the big brands for law enforcement folks. They can be pricey.

Surefire makes legit flashlights. Used a few of them before and they are really nice. Expensive as hell though.

I have a 2-cell Maglight that I like, mostly b/c I can use it as a club, if ever needed. Keep it right next to the bed.

Curly, you're part of the problem. You're turning this thread into something that is completely not about flashlights. Way to derail the thread! Can't we have a discussion about flashlights?Curly J;1150760 wrote:

I have a $10 waterproof one for the kayak, with a cone top and 4 color lenses for nights. Also use a little 9LED light from Home Depot for $3.

I've spent $120.00 plus for a flashlight for my pistol now I just use it in my truck
I got my wife and daughter a small flashlight to carry and those cost me about $65.00 each
Good flashlight in times of need is well worth the price ... Somethings you just shouldn't cut corner on.
