As we told you earlier, a report emerged this week that ESPN shit stirrer Skip Bayless lied about his high school basketball career. In an effort to make a point about trigger-happy NBA guard Russel Westbrook, Skip alluded to the fact that, in high school, he was a trigger-happy guard himself (he actually referred to himself as “Maravich,” as in “‘Pistol Pete’ Maravich,” one of the most iconic guards of all time). According to documents obtained by a blog called The Lost Ogle, though, he scored 21 points in 15 games during his senior season, which comes out to an average of 1.4 points a game… and means Skip Bayless is kind of full of shit.

Its not just skip, lottttts of basketball purists bash players like Rose, Westbrook ect who are scoring Point guards. I think its retarded personally to bash the idea of a Pg being a primary scoring threat

I dont get the hate for those players either. BUT, you have to be efficient as a PG, more than a SF/SG if you shoot a lot imo. Rose comes to mind as a guy who isnt always efficient and hurts the Bulls.

Wait a minute now...he may have been a trigger happy guy when he played. He may have shot the ball almost every time he caught it.


but maybe he didnt ever play! We had a kid in Jr Hi who I think show the ball 90% of the time he touched it......but then again he only came in late in blowouts!

Every single game, he was either 0-15 or 1-16. Unfortunately for the coaches and rest of the team, his dad was the superintendent, so he never was benched.

lmao. Even as a Michigan fan I thought Rose was pretty bad when he first came on air, but he's really good now. He's great to listen to on espn radio.

Doesnt surprise me that he would lie. I always had the notion that much of the stuff he says, and the sides he takes, and his opinions arent genuine but just to create a stir. He doesnt believe half the shit he says but does so to make "interesting" arguments. You always gotta have the guy who takes the fucked up opinions on alot of things and bayless made a career outta it.
