I think Avery Johnson would be a nice fit. Hard to believe he still doesn't have a coaching job.

Because he is a good Coach. It's not his fault players are too soft for his old-school approach. I mean, this guy was a major contributor in earning 3 Rings.

What evidence do you have that he is a good coach?

If players aren't receptive to his style, wouldn't a good coach adjust?

Scott was a good player but has not been able to reach that level as a coach.

He couldn't get through to his players anymore. Whether it was his fault or not, the coach will always take the fall.

I would say taking New Jersey to the Finals 2x after a bunch of mediocre seasons, and a New Orleans team that was on the cusp of having the best Western Conference in 08(after just 38 wins in 07), qualifies.

Why should Scott be the one to adjust? He shouldn't have to compromise/appease to spoiled athletes who have thin-skins.

Yeah as mentioned, this was pretty inevitable. I can't TOTALLY blame Scott for the state of things in New Orleans but he's definitely had a hand. I could still see Scott catching on somewhere else, it's clear he's pretty good at building a team that's in the dumps, it's just sustaining that that's been a huge problem for him. I think something like the Clippers or Warriors might be a good fit for him. Maybe even back with the Nets but that would never happen. As for the Hornets, I don't really know who they should go after. Johnson would seem like a good fit but there has to be some reason as to why no one's hired him to this point. He might just be a little better version of Scott.

Not all his fault for the team tanking. But this team should not be in the position it's in right now.

I also believe that Byron Scott is a good coach who ended up in a bad situation. NO was on the cusp but never made the necessary moves to get to the next level. They are financially strapped in NO and the players lost interest.

The beginning of the end is when CP3 complained about Scott.

Mike Brown is a good coach and it would be a mistake for the Cavs to fire him. Some fans need to realize how good we have it.

We have a coach who demands the defensive side of the ball be played with great execution and a coach that all the players like/respect..

Exactly. And he will coach again. Maybe before this season is over too.
