Anyone ever subscribe to this? I want to get it for Xbox 360 to stream Indians games. Since I live in San Diego and could careless about the Padres or Dodgers. What I want to know is it says games are subject to blackout. How many games are actually blacked out? Also what is the quality?

If they're national games (TBS, FOX, ESPN) I think they're blacked out. Basically, stuff you could get on expanded cable in San Diego would be blacked out. I don't personally have it, but work with a huge Giants fan who has it on his iPhone and for his computer. The quality is really, really good.

not that i need it living near cleveland, but i saw the price tag for the xbox app and didnt feel it worth that much if i did live out of the area.

Not many Indians games will be blacked out in SD.

It's $125 for the entire year. I don't think that is expensive. I don't have cable. I do local HD and espn3 from the xbox. $125 for the season is less than $1 a game. That's a pretty good deal, IMO. If I lived out of the blackout zone for the Reds I'd pay way more than $125 if I had to.

Well consider cox crappy cable out here was $120 a month anyways it's like paying for 1 month of cable.

If I ever move away from STO range again, I will purchase it. I was at IU for college and had it for 4 years. It is amazing quality, and has gotten better each year. You wont have any games blacked out in SD unless they are on National TV or are playing the Padres. All Padres games will be blacked out for you. Red Sox will be blacked out half the year though, since that is all ESPN and FOX will show.
Its also nice to be able to switch over to other games whenever. If you are a baseball fan in general. See no hitters, 3 HR games, etc.

I've had it the last two years and streamed through PS3. Quality has been really good except for the first two weeks of last year, when they put an update out that wasn't ready. They gave everyone that had issues a refund for the time the quality sucked. This year if you have a MLB.tv subscription, I'm pretty sure you get the MLB at Bat access for your phone free, which lets you listen to radio broadcasts and stream games on supported devices. Just make sure you get the premium package so you can choose which team's broadcast you get. The basic package only gives you the home team's broadcast.
I'd say the only downside is the blackouts, especially for Fox Saturday National games. Every game is blacked out during the time that Fox has that game, and they usually only show about 4 different teams.

Even if I can catch 3 or 4 games a week I'll be happy. Its better than going to a bar and sitting there blowing money on alcohol and food.

I think it's worth it if you want to watch that many games. Like you said, if you go to a bar, that could cost you $30 bucks each time. I had it for 4 years, using a buddies account, and it was awesome. Watched it on my computer with a slower connection and it still looked great quality. I would imagine on an xbox it would be even better. If it comes with the "AtBat" app that is also really cool which I had last year. For $30 I could listen to Hammy call every game if I was driving or not by a TV.

I always subscribe April-October and love it.
I'm a Braves fan living in DC so there aren't many games I can see without it.
Definitely go with the upgraded option that allows you to listen to your teams announcer.

I've bought it in the past but last year just settled on the audio version. I've found that usually I am not focusing on the game totally and doing other things around the apartment anyways. Plus baseball plays great on the radio.

I had it last year and again this year. It's absolutely worth it. Plus you can watch it in so many places. Tv, devices, ps3/Xbox. It's great!!

Much better than NHL Gamecenter which I currently have now. Probably getting it as FSD isn't on Time Warner even though I live in Toledo :mad:

If I lived out of market of the Tribe, I'd get it.
IMO, MLB and the NBA packages are fairly priced. The NFL package is absurdly overpriced.

I think $125 is a great deal for MLBTV. So many different options to watch and listen to games. Love listening to Sarge do the Phillies games.
