Les Stroud would be too busy building terrible shelters and freaking out about the bears across the lake from him to kick anyone's ass. He sucks. But Grylls is still a much bigger douche.

I was wondering why there hadn't been any epsidoes in a while.
Agree about knowing it was fake and still liking it. They were increasingly more open about it being staged, as well (i.e. "situations presented to Bear"). I just enjoyed the scenerey more than anything - visually as fantastic as any other show out there - often deep into remote places most of us wouldn't dare venture into.
I like Survivorman, too, but that nature of the show just doesn't have him covering the same amount of ground so you don't quite get the same "tour".
I suspect he'll be back, somewhere. I've seen some of the other "survivor" shows out there, and unsurprisingly they haven't seemed to fair that well. I think it's fairly obvious the success of these two is as much their charisma as anything else.

Never been a fan of the show. Maybe that'll mean there's more room for Mythbusters.
