Just browsing some first round spreads and a few surprised me. Based on opening lines...

Iowa State -1.5 over Connecticut (not a lot of respect to UConn)
Murray State -2.5 over Colorado State (I think Murray is a bit undervalued here)
Xavier +3 vs Notre Dame (Hard to go against X getting 3)
Belmont +7 vs Georgetown (Not liking G-Town having to win by that margin)
St. Mary's +1 vs Purdue (Definitely like SMC here)

Other thoughts?

If people have pools they are doing I figured they can post them here too.

I completely agree on Murray State and St. Mary's. I don't actually think the Racers are that good, but Colorado State is brutal away from home.

I like Iona at +2 in the play-in against BYU, and Cal -3 over South Florida.

I'm seeing UConn at -2 over Iowa State and Georgetown only -3 over Belmont (Bookmaker and Legends). Not sure whether the lines have already changed that quickly.

That was the first line I saw on ISU. We'll see what comes out tomorrow...it doesn't look right just based on the numbers.

Has Notre Dame done anything in the tournament for years? I'm surprised Xavier isn't favored.

I think Derwin Kitchen of Florida State is still hitting jump shots on Notre Dame. The Seminoles are up by like 13,000 now.

To answer your question, though, 2003 was the last time Notre Dame played into the second week of the NCAAs.

Yeah saw that UK is at 5-2 and Ohio State is at 6-1. The Vegas love for Ohio State really surprised me.

It's interesting that Memphis has the third best odds of winning out of the West, while Belmont (the computers love the Bruins) are 5th best in the Midwest. Struggling on picking the Bruins over G'town though .. got burned on them last year when I picked them over Wisconsin.

Belmont is down to a +4 already lol. Xavier is down to a +2.5 as well.

I put a lot of money on Murray State at -4 and Creighton at +1.5 I also put some money on the playin games and FSU at -7 and Loyola Maryland at +17.5. Also got 5 bucks on Murray State and Florida State to win it all just cause I really liked their odds.

That's maybe the toughest pick for me, because I think Belmont is better than San Diego State/NC State. It's either knock them out in round 1, or seriously consider putting them all the way into the elite 8.

Did you put these in online? If so what site and how are you depositing?

I've been having a hell of a time trying to get deposits to go through on the 2 sites I normally use. Trying to make me do some run around process with a 3rd party that costs like 20% of my deposit.

Syracuse's chances just got a lot worse.

Im thinking about putting some serious money on Detroit vs Kansas. Detroit is +14.5 and it has already falled from +15.5. Wanna get it in before its down to like +12!

Syracuse at just -15 for their opener against UNC Ashville? I know Melo is out, but shouldn't they still roll in this first game?

I'm not really confident about any of the spreads tomorrow. I'd lean towards VCU at +6, but nowhere near confident enough to place a bet on it. I like the under 140 for UK - ISU a little bit too.

Sagarin's computer analysis after 64,000,000 permutations turns out to mirror the Vegas line. Kentucky 5-1 Ohio State 6-1.

I had a huge weekend I'm up about 200 already lol.

I put 30 on KSU over cuse straight up and 50 on Murray State straight up. Then I put 10 bucks on a lot of the overs for todays games(anyone else feel like the O/U are low for todays games). I also put 20 on Murray State at +6 and 20 on KSU +5. Hoping for another huge day today haha.

Durkie that would be fucking sweet if you won how much did you put on it?
