Any fans of the British Office. Love it, wish it would have gone longer. I have been catching episodes again on On Demand and they did a return 2 hr special they are showing to. Very funny IMO way better then The Office they did here as a spin off.

Are you sure about that? Didn't seem the same to me and the British Version was only 12 episodes and 2 45 minute return follow ups.

They started out the same, but the US version quickly molded its own plot lines. The characters have also evolved into something completely different.

Dwight and Gareth are similar characters, but Dwight is more over the top. Tim and Jim and somewhat the same and neither wanted to work at the company permanently. Tim ended up being promoted and staying with the company, and the same has happened for Jim. However, Tim did not fall in love with Dawn (well, until the Christmas special) and Jim did with Pam. I'd say Michael and David are the most alike. Steve Carell kind of took it in his own direction though, and it has worked.

My favorite episode was probably in Episode 5 when David was talking to a girl in the bar about having sex and he says "and from behind because your breath smells like onions."

One of the funniest lines I've ever heard in a show.

Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant (the creators) did four Training videos where David is supposedly applying to work at Microsoft. They are great.

Also, if you are a fan of Merchant and Gervais you need to download their XFM radio show on Pirate Bay. Their producer, Karl Pilkington, is possibly one of the funniest people in the world.
