Lived in an extended stay for a month. Neighbors on both sides were hookers, but free HBO, so it was kind of a wash.

Living on the streets has its benefits, you are closer to the $3 handjobs given by crack whores.

Also I found a clause in my contract that allows me to stay in a corporate apartment for up to 2 months.

Failing to see how hookers and free HBO is not complete #winning.

You'd be dumb not to do this. Gives you more time to find that house that YOU want.

Congrats on selling the house so quickly and good luck on finding a house you like. Like etb said I would take complete advantage of the clause and find the house you want.

Did you go to the Calvert vs MCVD game? Looks like it was a good one.

No. My only interest would be Friday's game.

I was actually homeless for 5 days in November this past year. Was buying my current place and told my Apt Complex I'd be out by X date, which was 50 days from when the closing process started. 20 days later, the original lender realized they couldn't do the loan (FHA condo issue, nothing to do with me). So I was 30 days away from my last day in the apartment, and had to find someone to do the loan. To couple this problem, my fiance works for the state gov't in the dept which regulates banks, so we couldn't just pick anyone. Luckily, we were able to find someone who could close in time... until the condo association didn't provide the necessary paperwork to close the loan until 5 days after I had moved out of my apt.

My shit was in storage and me and my fiance slept at a buddy's house for a week. I'm grateful I wasn't "really" homeless, but fuck it was a stress I did not want or need.

/Cool story bro'd.

As opposed to when you shop for houses that you pay for, but are actually for someone else.
