I am going to a weekend festival that doesn't allow glass bottles and they will be checking our cars and coolers. I usually just buy good bottled beer. I am hoping to find some good microbrews that are available in cans around the Columbus area. Any recommendations on what to buy and where to buy. I am usually a big fan of hoppy beer like hopslam and my girlfriend wants me to find some kind of good wheat beer.

Not sure if Harpoon distributes around you, but Harpoon IPA comes in cans. Not the greatest, but definitely not undrinkable.

Canned beer is getting to be the next big thing in microbrews. I can't think of any off the top of my head, but I know there are a few microbrews available in cans, including IPAs and wheat beers.

...They sell Blue Moon in cans, so that's one wheat beer option for your girlfriend.

I was going to suggest Dale's as well. I'm not much of a fan but its usually considered a good canned beer.

Avery sells some of their offerings in cans. I live near Amish country and they have this at our local store, I'd imagine you could find it in CBus. Pretty sure they do their IPA and White Rascal(Witbier) in cans.

Yes. I've had the Hell or High Watermelon Wheat and the Back In Black IPA. I enjoyed both. A lot.

Yes. Not sure you can even get them in bottles as I've only seen 21st Amendment in cans.

I wish more breweries would use cans. As far as I know Oskar Blues isn't in OH. Like others have said, Avery or 21st Amendment. Highly recommend Hop Crisis, Brew Free or Die IPA (have some in my fridge now), and Back in Black from 21st Amendment.
