I'm pulling for the Rockets, but I think OU's going to win the tourney.

The MAC tourney really is great though. Went to the championship game last year and it was one of the best games I've ever seen. Not to mention it was that much better because we beat Kent who was the regular season champs.

I'd figure a lot of the mid-major tourneys are like that though. Everything on the line to make the big dance. Can't take it for granted like the Big 6 teams do.

Went to only one MAC championship game but it was a dandy. Saw All-American Wally Szczerbiak and company play against Kent State at the SeaGate Centre in Toledo in 1999. Wally World then, of course, went on to average 30 per game in the NCAAs in leading the RedHawks to the Sweet 16.

Of course, today, like dlazz, I couldn't give less of a fuck. Maybe it's because I just don't pay enough attention to it, but MAC just isn't what it once was. Wally, Antonio Daniels, Anthony Stacey, Chris Kaman, Tamar Slay, Casey Shaw, Earl Boykins, Bonzi Wells and, of course, "The SHAQ of the MAC," Gary Trent... I mean there used to be a plethora of great talent in the conference. Now it's like the YMCA.

That's disrespectful to the players of that conference and stupid to say. D1 basketball is an extremely high level.

If they don't want to hear those types of accusations, then they should pick their play up. That's all I'm saying.

The MAC today, compared to the MAC of the '90s, is much less attractive to watch as there simply isn't the star power that there once was.

The MAC East has a RPI of like 8. There are plenty of good players in that conference, my good friend being one of them. Who cares if there is the star power there once was or not, comparing it to YMCA basketball is idiotic.

No that's just ignorant, people don't understand how good you have to be to play D1 in the first place.

And on top of it all, who the hell are you to down play someone's game, I guarantee you aren't on the level of those guys so don't act like you can just put players down.

Everyone knows MAC is better than YMCA. It's calle hyperbole. Don't take it so personal, the Mac used to be decent. Now it's just not very good.

Still disrespectful to those guys who work their ass off. The Mac East is a pretty good conference, the Mac West isn't however.
