Kerry Coombs.

Probably the most intense coach I've seen. I never really thought all that highly of him while he was at UC. He's very intense, a decent recruiter, but the guys he coached tended to underachieve. I'm assuming this is a strategic move by Urban for his recruiting prowess. He's done really really well in Indy pulling in some of Indiana's top talent to UC.

Kerry Coombs, sounds familiar...didn't he coach Colerain back when I was in HS? (04-07)

Yep. He was the coach of the unreal team they had back in 2004 that beat Canton McKinley in the state finals 59-7 or something like that.

This move is suprising (his son will be enrolling at UC in the fall and he is a Cincinnati guy through and through) but I am guessing he will get a major pay increase.

UC will replace him with the next man in.

Yep thats him. Won a state title in 04. Went 161-34 over 16 seasons and 86-8 over his last 7 seasons. Not too shabby for a Public School.

Had a few of his players end up in the NFL.
