Saying he doesn't want to be remembered as a "bust," quarterback JaMarcus Russell, who hasn't played in the NFL since 2009, is attempting a comeback.
Russell, the former No. 1 overall pick of the Raiders in 2007, has been out of football since Oakland released him after the 2009 season.

The guy who is training him has a knack for getting players back into top shape. If Russell can get down to 265, somebody will invite him to camp. He may be a fatass but he has a helluva lot more talent than some of the 3rd stringers in the league. Do I think he'll have the dedication to get in shape? No, but if he does, I bet he'll get invites from a few teams.

Does the guy training him have a knack for getting players to complete an NFL pass?

Russell doesn't have it upstairs. He's mentally weak. He might get some workouts, but he'll never start a game again in the NFL.

No disputing the ""never start a game again" part but he could make a roster as a backup. If guys like Curtis Painter & Ken Dorsey (now retired) can get gigs in the league, he should be able to too.

Right I'm thinking the same thing. Its a fucking joke, dude played in the NFL and reaped the benifits for years and now the family wants more. I am tired of all these NFL players trying to stick it to the league. If they knew how to manage their money they wouldn't be in the troubles they are in.

Also on the Frank Gore front what a fucking joke. Goodell is about on par with some of the Mods on this site.

Some of the NFL uniform rules have to be the dumbest thing ever. Notice that players always stop and adjust their socks? Yeah its because they can get fined. So dumb

Right, I liked rocking my black nike ankle socks. Our coach tried that bullshit of the long socks and kept yelling at us to pull them up. He got over that real quick.

Darnell Dockett ... lol

http://deadspin.com/5978812/katherine-webb-isnt-darnell-docketts-type-im-not-into-the-thinner-girls
On jokingly asking AJ McCarron's girlfriend, Katherine Webb, out on Twitter during the BCS Championship Game:

"It's not that serious. I was just laughing at people responding because people were really thinking that I was gonna put my number on Twitter. … Anybody that knows Darnell Dockett - the real me, not just the football player, not just the guy you see on TV - anyone that knows me personally knows there is never a dull moment in my life. I'm always excited. I'm always thinking of the next gimmick, the next trick. … It was an opportunity. She's a very beautiful girl, but I just feel like somebody who's been modeling and going to Alabama and doing all that country stuff, I just want to take her out of her [element] and bring her to get some of these garlic wings and these barbecue wings, and see a few strippers and things like that, so she can appreciate what she's doing. I'm just giving back to the community in the long run."

On Webb not being his type:

"If I really wanted to get his girl there's a bunch of different ways I'd have went about it. And I would have got her if I really wanted her. But I don't think she's my type. I'm not into the thinner girls and the modelling thing like that. I like hood chicks. I like girls with a couple stab wounds, bullet holes, been knocked up a few times. … I like girls who you know have bad credit when they're 21."

We have the same taste in woman. Nothing sexier than a loose chick with multiple large scars from being stabbed.
