Okay, so these two things obviously create a gray area in the rules.

I mean, if I go on, say, an Arizona State vs Arizona game thread that is 40-0 Arizona, and post "Arizona State sucks" I probably wont receive an infraction.

But if I go on a, say, Michigan offseason thread and point out that a recruit they just received a commitment from sucks, I probably will receive an infraction.

So how do you, mods, know what it's in fact trolling, and what's not?

It is all judgement based....I mean a lot of the shit that is trolling is pretty damn obvious. No one cares if you go on there and debate and argue, but when you say "god, you are such a fucking homo"...that is an easy infraction.

We are tired of the thin skin of both fanbases...both schools have their issue, so I don't see why everyone has to lash out when someone criticizes a school. Shit happens....talk about it like adults.

Do it with some tact, be creative.

Instead of going on and posting HURRRR THEY SUCK, take some of the sting out of it and just say "Holy shit, they look awful tonight" (true, but not scathing or a blanket statement), or do it with some legitimate insight "Their offense blows ass tonight, (example of how)"

We're just asking you to think before you post.

And to answer your direct question...no one cares if you say a recruit sucks...but try to explain why...that would help.

Wes totally agree with you, and you as well Sportsandlady. I don't get why people get so ruffled over an internet posting about a team (though we all love our teams) we don't play for or actually have any affiliation with? I love Ohio State but I don't go reporting every time someone says OSU sucks, they are fucking cheaters, etc....I just go on and reply to the posts I wish, etc...

I don't know why it is so hard for grown people to have a little fun, poke fun at each other, and other's teams, I mean damn people it’s the internet!!! Lighten up and just have fun and stop being so damned thin skinned all the time around here.

Now that said like Wes said you can't call someone homo's, cocksuckers, etc.....but I don't get why someone gets pissed if someone says your teams sucks, or sucks ass, or plays like woman, etc...who the hell cares?

Yes, they are. And then when they get super defensive...the threads go to shit.

We are just trying to put a stop to the 2 and 3 page pissing contests that ensue. There is no major changes...just trying to clean up so we can attract more people. We have so many people that claim they won't even read these forums because they are a mess.

Yes. We would LOVE if everyone just developed thicker skin around here. But they don't. In terms of moderating, it's been VERY lax around these parts (somewhat in a hope that people would develop a thicker skin and everything would level out), and all that did was make it unreadable. So, now we'll go back and actually enforce the rules like we evidently should have all along.

Just don't make posts strictly to get a rise started. Everyone is pretty familiar with everyone else on here...so you know how to piss off a ND/OSU fan. Pretty much look up any post that sleeper made on a ND thread...that will tell you what is not allowed...lol.

I really don't understand the pissing matches between nd and osu fans. Like seriously they don't play each other who gives a shit. It's really just annoying. I don't post on any Ohio state threads bc I don't care what happens to them. Notre dame doesn't play Ohio state at all.

Sounds like JJHuddle 2.0. Once they started banning people, it only gets worse from there.

The leaders have made it clear that the only types of post they want are posts that agree with the initial poster. That is an extremely boring forum, I'm not sure if I want to be apart of something like this and its only my 1st day on here(although I've been a reader for a bit of time).
