He definitely could play bball anywhere he goes for football. But Indiana was not after him hard. They contacted him, but he is well, well down on the list of recruits Crean is after.

I knew they were kinda recruiting him but I thought I read that they had him for a visit or something so I figured they were serious but I hope he plays bball too.

He came down for an unofficial, but so have like 25 2014 kids already. I consider recruits legit targets when Crean uses his "travel days" to see them play, etc.

But the kid IS talented enough to play, imo. Just wanted to state that Indiana wasnt really after him. If that was the case, I think basketball and football would be about even (think Gary Harris). But as it stands, I think football is the clear #1 for him.

Vegas is not offering odds on OSU to win the National Championship this season due to their ineligibility for said award.

That doesn't seem like a good business move. Someone would surely bet on them and the casino would surely win.

True. Though I'm guessing such deception is prohibited by the various gaming authorities.

Vegas lines aren't reflective of the opinions of "professionals." They're designed to distribute betting as equally as possible. Notre Dame being so high is a reflection of their comparatively large number of fans willing to throw down money on them simply because ND is "their team."

You generally see a similar phenomena with NY and LA pro teams.

Agreed. And to further the point, 'future' bets are generally bets made by the general public, rather than the sharks. As you said, people will come in and bet ND to win it all regardless of the odds. Therefore, it really makes no sense to raise the odds on ND, as the books would just be betting against themselves.

If you really think Vegas thinks ND is the 10th best team in the county, you're kidding yourself.

Vegas odds are not always reflective of what they think. ND fans will drive the odds down because so many of them bet ND each year. Last year I got them at 16-1.

Very odd with no southern Cal on there, maybe they told him they are full. Can't imagine turning down that kind of talent but fuck em. He also said ND is the only guaranteed official visit at this point which is huge. Jaylon and the other commits have been putting in work on him.

Also his dad coaches at usf and they live on the same street as the university which is probably why they are still in it.

Thought that too about no USC. Yeah, Jaylon has been trying to persuade him. Hope it works.
