I know the temps will stay low for a bit, but is mother nature ready to bring in Spring? It's awesome out today (a little chilly), and I have some hosta plants that are starting to sprout. Just felt like an early spring day.

Did hear the birds chirping yesterday morning over coffee so that is a good sign. 50 degrees here, gonna head home after work and take advantage of the light and warmer temps to get a good run in without having to wear alot of gear

I take it you ran by the Junior High, during lunch/recess time?

Went on a trail run today because it was so nice. I'd be all about an early spring.

Ran in shorts more times then running pants this winter. I'm all for global warming.

Friggin' all kind of PR's should be set come track season. Greatest training off-season ever!

Nice again this morning. It's cold, but the air is crisp, and doesn't have the winter "bite."

Lamest. Winter. Ever.

I'm hoping for a blizzard before Spring officially begins.

Yeah, plan on running home from work this afternoon in shorts and a light shirt/jacket. It is amazing how much better it feels running like that compared to the times with more gear on. Even tho this has been a warmer winter I usually still have sweatpants on and such because i usually dont get to run until later in the evenings.

Should be a good one!

I always run with lots of clothing on to help sweat more, regardless of temp. This good or bad?

Kinda depends. If goal is short-term weight loss (wrestler two pounds over the night before) it's good. Long term, it's bad. All you are losing is water weight. Granted, you may be working slightly harder because of being over-dressed but you'd be better off wearing comfortable clothes which breath well. Simply exercise longer but be comfortable.
