Say this last night at the Gateway down on campus.
Jonah Hill, Channing Tatum and Ice Cube

I saw the trailer and thought it was funny so I was looking forward to it.
My only fear was the fact that sometimes they seem to put the best and funniest stuff on the trailer.
Not this time, I laughed so hard at times my gut hurt.
This was a damn funny movie. Jonah Hill was great as usual and I was surprised by Channing Tatum by just seeing him in "The Vow". Complete different role.
It was just a very fun movie.

Love the caption
The only thing getting blown tonight is their cover.
Way too good.

Glad to hear! There were several parts in the trailer that had me LOLing. I was hoping it wouldn't be a bust.

I'm just worried that skinny Jonnah Hill isn't going to make me laugh like fat Jonnah Hill. It's a legit fear I have.

People on Twitter were raving about how funny this movie is. Alot of people said it was the best comedy since The Hangover.

Not exactly high praise. I can't think of one good comedy to come out since the Hangover.

IMO it looks like total shit. I can't imagine a movie with ice cube and tatum being good.

I don't have one, that was my point. Seems like a lack of good comedies over the past 2/3 years. Maybe Bridesmaid, it definitely had its momeents. But overall its been a pretty bad span for comedies IMO.

Horrible Bosses
Bad Teacher
The Hangover Part II
Bridesmaids (never saw it, but have heard nothing but rave reviews about it)
Little Fockers (I'll admit... this one is a stretch, but it was decent)
She's Out of My League (again, never saw this one, but heard a number of good reviews; not quite as many as Bridesmaids tho)
Date Night (not great, but certainly entertaining)
Youth in Revolt (this movies was HILARIOUS! One of 2010's best kept secrets)
Toy Story 3 (yes... I did)
Kick-Ass
Due Date

Please... quit being so harsh/negative. I promise you... life will be so much more enjoyable.

Youth in Revolt was terrible. I disagree with that one on your list.

You know your credibility has been gone since you said you went to see the twilight saga, right?

She's out of my League was great.
My first pre screening.
And Yes Johnny Depp did reprise his old character in a cameo (uncredited). Peter Deluise also.
The audience went crazy.

Kick Ass? I wouldn't put that in the same category as the rest of your list.

Not one good movie on that list. Never saw Toy Story 3 which but most accounts was a good movie, but not a comedy.

Horrible Bosses - 57 meta score
Bad Teacher 47 LOL
Hangover II - 44
Little Fockers - 2 fucking 7, ranked as one of the worst movies of 2010.
She's Out of my League - 46
Date Night 56
Due Date 51

Lot of mediocrity and terribleness in that list. Nice fail Scarlet.

I'm with CoA there has not been a good comedy since The Hangover. Did the movies that Scarlet Buckeye list have their moments? Yes. And some were pretty entertaining but none of them even came close to LOL consistency that The Hangover had. Also no way Toy Story 3 is a comedy. Sadly I do agree that Youth in Revolt was pretty good but I know a lot of people who didn't like it because they don't like Michael Cera. Also another Cera movie you didn't list that I'd put with all these movies and I thought is decent was Scott Pilgrim vs The World.(Just saw this has a 38 Meta score... guess I fail too lol).

As for this movie I thought it looked alright but figured it would be just like most comedies recently.

Yea, Kick-Ass definitely wasn't a comedy. It was a great movie though!

Kick-Ass is hilarious. It's just an ultra-violent, dark comedy.

I agree with SB, I thought Youth in Revolt was fantastic. I also liked Horrible Bosses. Oh, and 50/50 is probably the funniest movie I've seen in a long time.

This was a pretty early screening wasn't it? I was thinking 21 Jump Street didn't come out until like April.

As far as comedies go there are only 2 that I consider since Hangover. Change Up and Horrible Bosses. All of the other big name comedies had moments of funny content but I didn't think any of them were as good as these two.
