4 players, 3 of which were starters, were arrested today for selling every drug imaginable to undercover police officers. 17 TCU students were arrested in all after the 6 month investigation.
TCU will leap to the top of the Fulmer Cup standings and will most likely have an insurmountable lead.

@KEYESportsBob: Affadavit says TCU DB Devin Johnson told an undercover officer 82 TCU players failed a surprise drug test ordered by Gary Patterson Feb. 1.

That seems a little high.On Feb. 1, there was a mandatory team meeting where all players underwent a drug test, according to an arrest warrant.
“Ya, they caught us slipping,” Brock told an undercover officer later that day before allegedly selling him $220 worth of marijuana.
He added that he had failed the surprise test “for sure,” according to the warrant, then adding that he thought it wouldn’t be a problem because there “would be about 60 people screwed.”
Horn had looked through the football roster and “said there were only 20 people that would pass the test on the team,” Brock said, according to the warrant. And asked about the drug test, Johnson allegedly told an undercover officer: “What can they do, 82 people failed it.”

The Fulmer Cup is a tongue-in-cheek award given each year in the United States to the Division I FBS college football program whose players collectively have the worst criminal record.[SUP][1][/SUP]
The Fulmer cup was conceived in 2006 by sports blogger Orson Swindle, a fan of football rival Florida, and named for then-University of Tennessee football coach Phillip Fulmer. While Fulmer was coach, the Tennessee team had over 20 players arrested for criminal activity in a 16 month period from 2004 through 2005. This mirrored a similar outbreak of criminal activity at the University of Tennessee in 1995 when 9 players were arrested. Since this seemed to be a recurrent theme at Tennessee under Fulmer, the cup was named in his honor (USA Today). The University of Delaware holds the record for highest score among Division I FCS programs.

Final 2011 Standings:

The Ellis T. Jones III Award is hilarious too. Given to the player with the highest single point total of the season.

I have a feeling that TCU will be having a hard time winning games next year if they lay the wood to these guys

Yes, I meant THC. Thus showing how disconnected I am from the drug world.

I'm a little angry that Ohio State isn't ranked in the top ten. I mean they were selling their own stuff and getting free tattoos! ESPN talking heads were calling for more severe penalties than USC and we can't even make the top 10 of the Fulmer Cup?

2. Fulmer Cup = legal issues that are not necessarily under NCAA jurisdiction... OSU/USC shit = NCAA bylaws

Probably not as worried about the weed as they are about the cocaine, ecstacy, and prescription pills.

That's damn fine police work, damn fine.In the call from police, he said, he was told that an undercover officer in Fort Worth had made a drug buy from someone in a maroon truck who identified himself as "Austin."
The officer supposedly checked the license plates, which were registered to a woman with the last name of Carpenter. Subsequently, an arrest warrant was issued for Austin William Carpenter, who has no connection to TCU.
