I do know that simply because we can't answer something as a fact scientifically at the current time does not in any way make god or any diety more likely.

There are plenty of people who believe the scientific theories who also believe that a diety is behind at least the beginning of it. I struggle with that because I then ask "where did god come from?" and I can't even fathom an answer. All I can base my understanding on is that nearly everything that people used religion to discredit science when science didn't have a complete understanding of it has since been understood. Things like tides, why the sun and moon rise and fall, rotation of the planets, etc, etc. I believe this will continue though I don't know if we'll ever be able to completely understand some things because of distance issues.
