How much do you pay?

I'm doing an assignment in a Chemistry class and we have to tell how much curbside recycling costs from Rumpke Recycling. I tried going through the Rumpke website but they want all of my information and want me to actually sign up for it. I just need to know how much it costs monthly. So... anyone recycle with Rumpke???

I don't recycle. I think its only of those things that makes people feel good about what they are doing, but in reality damages the environment even more than not recycling.

Shouldn't they be paying you to recycle? They are a business that benefits from that raw material.

I will be curious what the costs are as you have asked I am truly surprised that people pay to recycle.

Sleeper, thank you for your irrelevant post. I obviously don't recycle either, or I would know.

wkfan - Thank you!

I'm really just turning a boring thread that would normally have 1 post into a discussion about the merits of recycling. Blame the OP for not expanding the topic, not me for making it a topic.

If I wanted an expanded topic I would have made it that way. As far as I'm concerned, one post from wkfan telling me how much it costs monthly is all I needed.

Then you should be thanking me for the free bump. Sheesh.

It may be in my monthly trash/sewage/water bill in the community I live in.

I can check when we get our next bill, if you want.

I throw everything together in the trash, if the company wants to recycle the stuff they can sort it out on their time.

Thanks Osh,

I just used what wkfan told me. It was just one question on this assignment but I didn't feel like going through all of the BS of having to talk to a representative of Rumpke and all that. I appreciate it though.

A friend of mine used to work at Waste Management and told me that you should never pay to recycle. You are only doing the company a favor by doing it. They are still going to go through all of your trash and pull out the recyclables.
