Andre the Giant beat Hulk Hogan on Saturday Night's Main Event in Indianapolis for the World title, February 5th, 1988.
It was the infamous "Twin Referee" match with Earl/Dave Hebner.
It is still the most watched televised wrestling event of all time.
I can remember being a 6 year old Hulkamaniac and being so mad that Hulk lost, because at that age you still thought it was real. Hulk vs. Andre was always a big deal.
Anybody else remember watching this as a kid (or an adult)?

I remember watching it. I loved the Main Event and really enjoyed that era of wrestling.
At that time I was 13 years old. Even though I wrestled in school and new it was fake, I enjoyed watching the stuff on tv. I knew it was just entertainment. Nothing more, nothing less.
I haven't really watched wrestling much the past 3-4 years. All of the guys I grew up watching have given it up or have tragically died.
