They've played every year since the Civil War...kinda sucks they're going to the SEC next year so that'll end. Last yearly game @ Missou.

Hopefully the students don't go through with the "No mom tom" t-shirts

Who wins?

I gotta take Missouri at home, but I'm sure Self will have KU ready to play. Going to be a rowdy atmosphere.

Yeah the atmosphere will be crazy..think if OSU was leaving the Big 10, and had Michigan at home one last time, that's the sort of atmosphere it's going to be lol

Any plans of MU/KU to continue to schedule an OOC series after Mizzou heads to the SEC?

I'm excited to have Mizzou in the SEC, but I definitely like having this rivalry intact.

Doubtful. KU isn't too fond of Mizzou leaving the Big 12. Their ADs hate each other.

Mizzou at the buzzer, setting off a gold rush like we've never seen...that said, I'd love to see the Jayhawks win this one.

I don't think you'll see ANY Big 12 teams play Mizzou anytime soon. I know a lot of people will say they are just butt hurt over them leaving, but I wouldn't blame them one bit.

More reason to have them play. It would take the rivalry to another level. Now, KU could argue that in basketball, it would benefit MU more to keep the series, and MU isn't going to reciprocate in football as they have moved to greener pastures. Still.

Yeah. I mean w/ how bad of shape the conference was/is, leaving at that time just makes it worse. I know you gotta do what's best for your school, but at least try and help the conference before pawning yourself off to any conference that'll have you lol "please big 10 take us!! pleeease!!"

It's about pride though for Kansas...we already hate Mizery, but them leaving just makes it worse, why even play them? Fuck them.

Would you still talk to a friend who stops hanging out with you to hang out with "cooler" people?

If it still benefitted me to hang out with him...maybe.

That's kinda the point though. Does keeping the game going mean enough to KU? Mizzou is leaving for greener pastures, but lets be real, it's about football cash. With that said, KU does benefit by playing MU in basketball...even if MU benefits as well, it may be worth exploring.

It's kind of like UK playing UL in basketball. Does UK benefit from playing Louisville? Do they need to show they are a better program, gain more fan support, etc...no. Could they find a better annual rivalry? Sure. However, their fans and alumni want to see the game.

Mizzou not deceased yet. Marcus Denmon with a clutch trey to close the Kansas gap to 71 to 69 with 1:30 left. This after the Jayhawks had stretched the lead to almost 10.

Scott Norwood misses two at the line and Mizzou now shooting. It appears as if Kansas is going to let this one slip away very painfully.
