Whitehall will run away with the team title. I'm not sure who else challenges. I do know that this is the time of year when you can see which kids want to be finished! We will see who can keep it together the longest as a squad.
Any outstanding weight classes here? I'm not really familiar with what is going on. I'm still stuck in DI mode.

BW has had some tough luck with injuries the last couple of years. If they could get a full line up they would contend for titles again. It's hard to win duals when you give up forfeits like they have had to do. One thing you can count on, is they have good conditioning and will not give up. I could see at least four or five of them moving on.
Whitehall is likely a good bet for team title. DeSales always kicks it in this time of year, JA is always tough, city league is improving every year. IMO, the easier of the two sectionals. Top three or four teams could be a toss-up.

170 has some tough kids:
Patrick- Marion Franklin
Carpenter - Utica
King - Lakewood
Lybarger - DeSales
Leeman - Centennial
Eisniccher - Big Walnut
Hortz- Whitehall
Patrick is probably the favorite -the rest are in no particular order, but all are good wrestlers worthy of moving on to districts.
At 160 you have:
Kucera - Highland
Allen - De Sales
Schenz- Big Walnut
Young - Whitehall
My money would be on Kucera to win it, but there will be some good battles in this weight class as well.
I saw Farrow - 220 from Whitehall win the Cruiser Invitational last weekend and he is a hammer - not sure what the other teams are bringing at 220, but I'd say this kid will do well.
Sorry if I mis-spelled some of the names.

Is there another King at Lakewood? If he's half as good as Delane King, he must be a hammer!1prouddad;1072783 wrote:I agree Whitehall will take this.

I remember wrestling Delane King back in the day when he was at Heath. Even when he was young he could really put you in some pain on top.Dad4Sports;1072785 wrote:Is there another King at Lakewood? If he's half as good as Delane King, he must be a hammer!

I doubt Schenz will be at 160, unless you have some inside information.1prouddad;1072783 wrote:

He has been at 145 almost all year, and before that was only at 152.

We missed him out at the Watkins Tournament, would have made the weight class even more interesting.

Not much activity on this thread? Anyone with insight / input? I'm sticking with whoever is hot that day is going to win this one. I still see a few favorites, but with this sport you never know. I'm pulling for the Nut to make some noise.

You are right - Schenz is at 145 - I saw him at 160 back in December - he's cut down since then.The2cKDude;1086402 wrote:I doubt Schenz will be at 160, unless you have some inside information.

I see Fergusen from DeSales cut to 170 and Allen is still at 160. Anyone know what happened to Lybarger? (I may have mis-spelled)

That's too bad. I chatted with him a bit back at a Quad in December - nice kid.- hate to see that happen to a kid in his senior year.Cthelites;1088245 wrote:He was out hurt when they wrestled Darby last week of the yr.

Agreed. I think Khulwein win, his only losses coming to 2 SQ's this year. Ridder might be one of the most improved wrestlers in Central Ohio. Should be some good matchesgreat95;1088240 wrote:i would like to see Khulwein (JA) and Gray(MF) go at it......and ridder (JA) and Farrow(WH) as well

Really tough kid, but Injury\ Football has kept him out all four years...1prouddad;1088299 wrote:That's too bad. I chatted with him a bit back at a Quad in December - nice kid.- hate to see that happen to a kid in his senior year.
