Actor Robert Hegyes passed away. I guess I am old enough to remember the show, "Welcome Back Kotter". I always used to get a kick out of his character when I was a kid. Every episode he would bring in an (obviously forged) letter from his mother explaining his recent absence, singed "Sincerely, Juan Epstein's Mother".

That's all you had to say. Anything with John Travolta in it prior to Look Who's Talking is ancient. :D

What a shame. I loved that show! Apart from the loss of life, yes, I feel extraordinarily old. :(

That tv show was way ahead of it's time. Theirs never been another comedy on an inner-city remedial high school class. Probably closest thing is the movie "the Ringer" which made fun of retards.
