From bottom of article
Richt’s visit to Harvey-Clemons church today should make an interesting mix. The AJC reported the Florida State coach Jimbo Fisher will have lunch with the family on Thursday. Florida assistant Brian White will be a speaker at the Lowndes High football banquet Thursday night.
Going to churches, using your assistant coach to speak at football banquets. I second what stroups said.

Good find, S&L

Also, is it worth $200,000 for 1 recruit? Really?

That was a different kind of recruit though. He was already a top high school QB, and won a national championship at the juco level which is definitely better competition than high school. Plus QB is a much more important position to winning than WR or RB.

Smh.

Holy Zion is Newton's dad's church, not this recruit.

Attending church, one thing. Donating $200k, quite another. But you're from the SEC, what difference can you tell?

LOL! lhs maybe if you actually read the article you would have saw that the church Muschamp went to was called Mt. Calvary Baptist and not Holy Zion Center of Deliverance.

Come on you really think I was being serious? I sincerely doubt Muschamp would drop $200,000 out of his own pocket for 1 recruit. It was just a jab at SEC recruiting tactics.

So you are dogging one of YOUR coaches and the conference he coaches in? Or are you no longer a UF fan?

Haha I couldn't tell :P. Sorry man. I bet you being a UF fan you'd hope he wouldn't drop 200k on a recruit lol.

There is a lot of fail going on in this thread. From thinking this was anything other than Newton's church to thinking UM meant Michigan trying to recruit Tebow.
