Looking for a new pair of work boots for working outside and projects around the house. Looking at Timberland Pro Pitboss and Keen Utility Tacoma. Any recommendations?

I switched to Georgia Boots, and love them. I usually buy the logger boots with steel toes.
You can pick them up for a little over $100 per pair.

Bought some Wolverines on sale from The Anderson's a few years ago...normally $90, but I got them for around $50-$60. They lasted me for two summer internships where I was working on construction job sites, and are still fine. Very comfortable, and watertight.

Stay away from Wolverine they are junk IMO. Buy redwing and keep care of them and they will last for a very long time.Get what you pay for in boot dept.

Googling the ANSI code on my boots indicates they were US Navy flight deck boots.

The top pair is actually a pair I'm considering. After reading online the only complaint was one guy was getting a small blister where the PRO logo is on the side of the heel. Honestly, the best work boot I ever bought was Brahma...from Wal-Mart.
They are work boots. I know they'll get tore up, so I don't want to invest much into them. I have had a couple pair of Brahma's and they've never let me down. They are comfortable. They are cheaper than most. They do the job.

I have worn Timberlands and Wolveries all my life, but was tired of them because they always felt kind of heavy. I wanted something that was more shoe like.
I bought a pair of these Nike Goadomes recently and they are far and away the most comfortable boots I have ever warn. Feels like Tennis shoes but they are a boot. Not exactly the most heavy industrial boot ever, but for wearing around a shop or light duty they are great.

I actually work for them so I'm not exactly unbiased. But I have 2-3 pairs and I really like them. Georgia is famous for comfort

Red Wings. Pricy, but worth it. If your working in shitty conditions (farm work such as myself), Muck Boots are damn nice.

Check these out next time you need some farm boots. We sell alot of these at Tractor Supply. Pretty good value and pretty popular for us. The bottom is similar to rubber (it's TPU) and the top has a special leather designed to withstand common chemicals you have to deal with on the farm (SPR leather)
