Westerville Central competed at the Napoleon Gold Medal Duals this weekend where Zach Brown went 9-0, won the Most Outstanding Wrestler Award and recorded his 150th career win. It was a great weekend of wrestling and we couldn't be more proud of Zach and all of his accomplishments! I don't normally come on here and talk about Zach, but this is a tremendous accomplishment and I will make an exception. ;)

One of the truly great kids in our sport, super polite and respectful. If hard work really does pay off, he'll be on the podium this year. He's put in the mat time and he's always been willing listen and learn. 150 wins is a great accomplishment, but I know he wants and deserves more. Wrestling on Saturday at The Schott is where this has to end. I have no doubt that it will. Good luck Zach, I'll be pulling for you

Thanks everyone. It was a true "mommy moment" for me to see him hit that milestone.

Cthelites - unfortunately Filippe's coaches decided to bump him up two weight classes for our dual vs. Genoa so Zach didn't get that opportunity.

Bummer!
I was going to predict that Zach would beat Fellipe!
When I saw him at Medina, it looked as tho Bowens would see him in the semis. As everyone now knows, he didnt make it.
I was hoping Bowens would see him(as was Tyler)
Doesnt sound like he is in any better shape wrestling up as much as 195 as reported on other threads(meaning he weighed in over 172). He will not win his 4th in that type of shape IMO!

Congrats Zach! Over the last few years, I've witnessed the time you've put in. I'll be pulling for you. I see you made the drop to 160 for the postseason. Good luck and I hope everything works out.
