From what I saw in the Plain Dealer this morning it was raining at the start of the race, not sure how much that may have affected the times in the race?

Times at the front were just as strong as past years despite the weather conditions. It was raining before the race started and they had all of the guys, wearing just their uniforms, out in the rain for introductions 15 minutes before the race, so everyone was carrying extra weight before the race even started.

Depth wise it is down, but I guess that is what you get when there are two different National Championship races, with each taking away from the quality of the other.

You can watch BOTH RACES on the footlocker site!
Both winners were from our midwest Regional!!
Men: Indiana (First Sophomore winner ever at Footlocker!)
Women: Michigan (The Womens finish was fantastic !!)
It was a wet muddy mess and it was raining during the races.
There are pre-race and post-race interviews too.

Verzbicas is on schedule to be one of the best distance runners this country has seen - if he chooses this path. He is a national triathlon champ and a world duathlon champ already. Apparently he is still riding the fence as to which sport he wants to focus on in the future. The kid ran 14:18 indoors for 5,000 as a freshman. Conditions were horrible in San Diego or there's no telling how fast he might have ran.

That is impressive. Maybe the next Lance?
