So my plans for 1/28/2012 got fucked. I've got a room at the hyatt downtown, and this chick is coming down that weekend so I can't bail on it. Does anyone have any suggestions? I've already looked at cyclones and uc basketball and both are away that day.

There is literally nothing to do downtown other than a few bars if there are no sports in town.

Look to see who is in concert. That's the first thing I do when in a new city. Not having much luck for San Antonio so far this weekend tho.

Why do you have a hotel room downtown on Jan 28th?

Most likely you will get mugged downtown, if some crackers are seen drunk stumbling back to the hotel.
Get a cab and good luck.

Jerk off at a busy street corner. I mean, you can do it anywhere, but Cincy is as good a place as any.

My two favorite neighborhoods so far are Avondale and Over the Rhine. In no particular order. Worth checking out.

Been many years since partying in Cinci. Didn't go downtown much. Remember some mall North of downtown which had like three or four separate bars, all next to each other. One was country, another sports and then a more dance "techno" type place.
Or, how about gambling? Go to one of the casino's then head back downtown to the hotel.
Checked Bogart's, "Jack's Mannequin" on 1/27 and "George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic" (Feb. 3rd) all they had going on....

Would not recommend.se-alum;1048908 wrote:Swim across the river to Newport.
Was in Cincinnati for a bachelor party a few years ago. We were staying at the Millennium Hotel in downtown cincy. Decided to take cabs over to Newport to Hofbra and what ever else is there. One guy walked back to the hotel over the bridge. Other friend was in the midst of hooking up with a chick, when the time came to leave, said friend was no where to be found. We assumed he took chick back to hotel. Get back to hotel, he is no where to be found. Wake up in the morning, he is in my room on the other bed. Go to bathroom, and his clothes are laying on the floor soaking wet. He said he was wasted and thought he could swim across the Ohio River and walk back to the hotel because the bridge looked like it was too far away. He made it about 10' out tops and almost died so he swam back to shore. Went into a convenient store to call for a cab and they told him he was already on the Ohio side of the river. So this dumbass already walked over the bridge or took a cab over and didn't remember, and tried to swim across the Ohio River to the wrong side. Lulz for the bachelor party for a lifetime.

Not even close to the truth. I lived downtown for a year and stumbled back to my apartment on many occasions and never had a problem.said_aouita;1048905 wrote:Most likely you will get mugged downtown, if some crackers are seen drunk stumbling back to the hotel.

best part is he took the time to find a plastic bag laying on the ground to put his cell phone into, which he said he tried to hold above his head when swimming. So he was going to attempt to swim basically one armed across the river. He dropped his phone, his wallet fell out of his back pocket, and before he decided to swim across the river, he called his brother to tell him what he was doing. So his brother thought he was dead until the next morning when he could use someone else's phone to call him.justincredible;1049134 wrote:Haha, that is pretty funny.
