[LEFT]Some of the best high school basketball teams from both Ohio and Pennsylvania will clash on the court next Monday, and our Game of the Week cameras will be rolling on every second.

It's our first ever LIVE broadcast of a basketball game, and we're bringing you a triple-header from the Covelli Centre.

The trifecta begins at 3 p.m. with LaBrae vs. Hickory. The second game will feature Struthers against Erie Strong Vincent. Ursuline will take on Sharon to round out the holiday action in game number 3.

We'll carry all 3 holiday tournament games LIVE on MyYTV next Monday, January 16, starting at 3 p.m

Some good games slated, thoughts on these matchups? Players to lookout for?

Struthers - Jake Jacubec dropinig 29,32, and 30 the last 3 games "3-0" wins over howland, beaver local, and fitch

ESV- Very athletic team as usual, not sure on their record, struthers knocked them off at home last season by around 20

Ursuline - Lowe the big man underneath should give sharon some fits, also a very good scorer which is a sophmore i believe

Sharon - Very very well coached team, with a win over Farrel already this season.

Labrae - The RB and QB also carry the beasketball team to which has to be their best start in very long time.

Hickory - Should matchup well against, labrae with a blowout win against Sharon already and General Mclane

My picks are as follows

Struthers
Ursuline
Labrae

I read in the Vindicator that there is a fourth game. It is the starting game @ 1:00 p.m. Campbell Memorial vs. George Junior Republic from Pa.

Four games highlight of holiday basketball at Covelli Centre

The first varsity game will tip off at 1 p.m., featuring Campbell Memorial (2-7) against George Jr. Republic (5-3).
That game will be followed by LaBrae (11-0) against Hickory (6-2), which will begin at 3 p.m.
The third game, at 5 p.m., will feature Struthers (8-2) against Erie Strong Vincent (6-4).
The final game, scheduled to begin at 7 p.m., will match Ursuline (6-3) against Sharon (4-2).
The last three games will be televised live on MyYTV, the first live broadcasts of the Game of The Week by My Valley Sports.

Struthers fell behind 7-0 to start. Came back to take a 17-16 lead after 1. Back and forth throughout the 2nd. SV lead at halftime, 33-30. SV opened the 2nd half with an 8-0 run to take an 11 point lead. Struthers came back to cut into the lead, I think it was SV by 2 after 3. Struthers took the lead by as many as 3 in the 4th, but it was mostly back and forth throughout the 4th too. SV got a layup with like 6.5 seconds left. Schmitt had a good look for 3 and the win at the buzzer, but just missed off the back of the rim.

SV escapes with a 62-60 win.

Struthers shot the ball pretty well, and they were able to score in the paint, but they got killed on the boards. SV had too many second and third chance points.

Struthers will be fueled by a loss like that for the rest of the season.

With the way strong vincent shot the ball they shot around 60 percent going into the 4th quarter, if they learn how to stay disiplined and not turn the ball over then they can make noise in PA, Struthers cant get outta control with the turnovers either they are very very good in the half court.
