more of the throwing Miles under the bus to come apparently...

Pat Forde @YahooForde
Well, the postgame press conferences were not as boring as the game. At least the LSU one. Bobby Hebert went OFF on Les Miles. Quite a rant.

From an Alabama board. Seems like parts may be missing.

BOBBY HEBERT: "Coach, did you ever consider bringing in Jarrett Lee, considering that you weren't taking any chances on the field? Now, I know Alabama's defense is dominant. But, come on, that's ridiculous, five first downs. I mean, so it's almost an approach, I'll tell from you the fans' standpoint, that how can you not maybe push the ball down the field and bring in Jarrett Lee? So what if you get a pick six. It seems like the game plan that ?? not pushing the ball down the field, considering it's like a Reuben Randle or Odell Beckham, Jr. I know the pass rush of Alabama, but there's no reason why in five first downs ?? you have a great defense, LSU is a great defense, but that's ridiculous."

Is it throwing Miles under the bus when he practically dived into the bus? It isn't entirely his fault....in no other sport is there such a layoff between games as college football, we're almost halfway through January. The players are stale, the games are lacking, in a playoff system this wouldn't happen.

Stop with the pathetic offense posts people! Honestly these defenses are really just that good. Look at their other games. These teams averaged almost 40 PPG this year

Come on. Defenses are good, no doubt about it...

However, the offenses were pathetic!

QB play was atrocious, especially out of LSU. It was just an ugly offensive game (again)...

Other teams put up points on these defenses, regardless if it was 21 points or whatever, it was still points... Didn't Bama give up around 300 yards rushing to a FCS team?

How much were defensive and special teams (I won't use the HB term) score? LSU couldn't throw the entire year. They put up 51 against Ole Miss whilst throwing 8 times.

Apologies, it was 52 points, while throwing EIGHT times. LSU never had a good passing game.

Still they moved the ball quite a bit offensively against everyone else. The defenses were just everywhere it seemed

You should care, seeing as how when you use "should of" you actually aren't saying anything at all!

Sorry, was late and forgot that they had to get rid of it this year because Nebraska and Colorado left. I was just assuming there was one like previous years. Regardless, OSU still played and beat some good teams and deserved a shot at the title just as much as Alabama (similar schedules and strength of wins) and they didn't already lose to the team.

All things being equal, once you get your shot and lose, under the current system there should not be a rematch.

Meanwhile, a high-powered Oklahoma State offense sat in Stillwater and wished it had been given a chance to compete for the title. The Cowboys will, no doubt, get some No. 1 support in the Associated Press media poll as a pseudo-protest.
Miles even made the case postgame that LSU should be in consideration for the AP title based on its season-long body of work, including the previous triumph over Alabama.
“That’s for the voters to figure,” Miles said.
When the coach of a team that was shut out in the championship game is arguing that he should win the championship anyway, the system is an unqualified disaster.

Couldn't agree more and LOL at Les Miles.

Apparently. They also get not 1 but 2 chances to prove they are the best. But this is only an SEC rule.

In a plus one format yes. But Alabama was the best team all year and LSU beat a killer schedule to make it.

We gotta remember that osu lost to Iowa state after being up 17 midway through the 3rd quarter. You have to pay for a loss like that.

Maybe somebody else already mentioned it but just in case not...OSU still the only 14-0 BCS Champion ever. Bama definitely showed this LSU team should never be spoken about in any GOAT discussions. Actually kinduva run of the mill, average, mediocre BCS team as it turns out.

Awww fuck i'll call it on myself before one of you braniacs does...Bama went 14 - 0 when they beat TX in 2010. Anyway my main point was LSU proved to be very average.
