My response, "no matter who the coach is it isnt going to change what Cleveland fans have to endure in all sports, easy bet"
If you're a beer drinker, that's an EASY 6 pack. TAKE that deal!

Probably would be a good idea, or he could actually do some research this time. Also, when the Browns are in the bottom half, pleas ebe sure to remind me and get that beer.

Some have Floyd rated higher. Blackmon isn't necessarily the clearcut "best" WR in this draft.

That guy was just carrying Holmgren's water as far as the Shumur comments. He has heard Mike make that comment in the past, and just assumed it was true. Clearly never bothered to see if the facts matched the rhetoric (they don't).

Also goes to show that the local media in this town is nothing but a schill for Holmgren that no one ever challenges him when he makes ridiculous comments like that.

In my personal opinion, he is the clearcut number 1 WR in this draft.

Same. Blackman was a beast.....but there was questions about his speed. He then proved that wrong.

Still waiting. Oh, wait. What's that? You can't find it? That's right. Because I never wrote that. Child.

I didn't bother to read your timeline. My bad.

Sounds like this dude just started at BR. Not sure how much he has written on teams outside of Green Bay but I can see in a week plus that he is already ruffling some feathers of the fans from other teams.

Yes its B/R but I would be happy any day getting a lineman of his caliber and also grabbing another pick or two

No question Decastro would be great for this O-Line. Unfortunately, between Pinky, Lauvao & Greco I believe they think they are "fine" at guard.

Kalil would also make the line a lot better.

[h=3]New wrinkle for the Browns[/h]8:42AM ET
[h=5]Cleveland Browns[/h]

For the past several weeks, a consensus has grown that the first three picks of the NFL Draft have been cemented: the Indianapolis Colts and Washington Redskins will take Andrew Luck and Robert Griffin III (in some order) and the Minnesota Vikings will grab USC OT Matt Kalil; as a result, the Cleveland Browns at No. 4 are the first mystery. But what happens if the Vikings don't take Kalil, either drafting a player at another position of need (and let's face it, they've got a lot of those) or trading down with a team that wants the next best available QB, Ryan Tannehill?
The Browns are going to do some homework on Kalil just in case. According to what a source has revealed to Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer, Cleveland will host Kalil this week.
Since the Browns already have a franchise LT in Joe Thomas, Kalil would be positioned at RT if Cleveland drafted him. But a more likely scenario (within this somewhat unlikely scenario) would be for the Browns to try and trade down with a team that has a need for a new starting LT (we're looking at you, Buffalo).
In the end, all this speculation could be for naught if the Vikes, as expected, add Kalil. But it could set off an interesting chain of events if they do not.

[h=3]Non-Trent RB targets for Cleveland[/h]1:53PM ET
[h=5]Cleveland Browns[/h]

UPDATE: ESPN AFC North blogger Jamison Hensley thinks there is no question which running back the Browns should take. You can read his thinking about taking Trent Richardson fourth over all at the bottom of this note.
- Tom Carpenter
---
The Cleveland Browns are hosting a pair of RB prospects this week, and according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer (which reported the visits), either Doug Martin or David Wilson could be selected by the team, either with their second first-rounder (No. 22) or their second-rounder (No. 37).
But the list of non-Trent Richardson backs doesn't stop there. Tony Grossi of ESPN 850 AM highlighted some others in a blog post on Wednesday: Miami's Lamar Miller, Washington's Chris Polk and Utah State's Robert Turbin, the latter of whom has been drawing quite a lot of buzz as of late.
Ultimately, all of this speculation on other RBs could be moot; the Browns may just take Richardson at No. 4 and be done with it. The Alabama bruiser has the skills set to become a feature back at the NFL level, providing stability to a position that was in shambles last season for Cleveland.

Cleveland Browns: Matt Barkley, QB, USC
2013 NFL Mock Draft selection: Trent Richardson, RB

The Browns are in shambles. They have no quarterback, and no one wants to play for them if you believe certain reports. The only way Cleveland can get out of the AFC North cellar is if it completely bottoms out and drafts a franchise quarterback like Matt Barkley.

Barkley is the overwhelming favorite to go No. 1 at the moment, but a lot can change in a year. He took a big risk by going back to school, but the reward of banging hot chicks at USC could be well worth it.

If we stay at #4 I want the CB from LSU and a WR at #22. At #37 I want the best LB available.

Hopefully we can trade out of the #4 spot and move down to the 10-15 range and pick a WR. Grab another 1st and 3rd rounder next year, and a 2nd this year.
