We know. Ray missed out on prison so he wanted to know how it felt.

If they DO have this, I hope the fans turn the stadium into a holy shitstorm of "momentum" and fire the Browns up. Don't want anything stupid/violent to put another black eye on the city but would love for this to somehow work in our favor....perhaps force the Dog Killer into a few interceptions/fumbles due to noise?
That would be ideal lol.

The thing that pisses me off, the media once again makes Cleveland and it's fans out to be the villains in all of this. Even the cleveland media, took the pussy cop out route and only focused on the good of Modell. All of a sudden the dipshit dies, and we are supposed to forgive him (just like when LeBron won a title we are supposed to forgive him). If there is a moment of "silence" and he is booed, the media will paint Cleveland as ruthless and classless. It's pathetic how narrow sighted people (especially the media) get when something like this happens.
killer_ewok;1263912 wrote:What I said wasn't meant as a,"Well, Baltimore is doing this for me Modell so Cleveland should...." comment. Just saying that the Ravens will be wearing a patch to honor him this season. Thought that might be of interest to you guys. Ravens-Browns games this season have some potential to be more chippy this season. Ray Lewis loved Art Modell.
No biggie, my response wasn't a defensive response at your post. Just adding my thoughts, and it never gets old to call Modell a scumbag.

Huge turn of events, does this include Sean Peyton and the coaches as well?

Why not just ignore it, not do anything and let it go? Instead, you're going to hold some sort of remembrance for him...and when they do, you'll hear plenty of boos, which in turn will have the media in an uproar and talk about how tasteless we are. Just dumb

+1

Just show respect and get it over with, no reason to give Cleveland any negative publicity. They don't need it.

Not sure if I'm reading your post correctly, but are you suggesting Browns fans should show RESPECT to that POS? If so, excuse me while I LMAO.

Then don't even bother with the "moment of silence." It's a dumbass idea anyway.

But no, as Benny stated, then will go through with it, Clevelanders will boo and jeer and they'll get their negative headlines.

Because thats what I said, understanding basic English could tell you that.

If it were me, I'd either take the high road and show respect, or hope they didn't do it at all. Why do what everyone expects you to do.....act like idiots, boot, etc. Again, Cleveland doesn't need the negative pub.

This is complete & utter bullshit. Browns didn't have a "choice" whether to honor him or not. It was forced on them by the league. SOOOOOOO....NFL forces a "moment of silence" and Cleveland fans look like assholes, nationally, doing the same thing that EVERY other fan base in the NFL would do had they walked in our shoes.

I agree completely. It's absolutely retarded that the NFL would even consider doing this in Cleveland.

I had no issue with Goodell but after this I hope he's subjected to an eternity of licking Modell's taint in Hell.

very dumb move by the NFL. I hope the fans take the high road and give a moment of silence instead of boo him. ESPN will never let Cleveland live it down.

So if your Steelers owner moved them out of Pittsburgh, and years down the road you had to "honor" that man....you would "take the high road and show respect" for the man?

Why can't I boo a man (not his death, the man) when given an opportunity? How is that classless?

Bengals fan here obvi, but I don't blame the Browns fans at all if they boo. The guy left town with their favorite team, they have the right to be pissed and hate his guts. Regardless of the business decision, how can anyone blame you guys?

I'll be at the game. i'll be quiet...but I'm turning my back. He did that to the fans of Cleveland for money. I'll do it for emotion.
