For my money (realizing that a lot can change between now and next season), the AFC north and NFC east look to be, at minimum, 2 of the top 3 divisions next year. I don't expect .500 finishes from Dallas or Philly again. I agree that schedule looks rough.

Reading where the Browns will hire an offensive coordinator and Brad Childress is a candidate.

FA will be huge for this team this year. They should have a boatload of money to spend and better use it. I'll wait till to see what they do here before commenting on the draft, because there are needs everywhere. And the schedule looks brutal to me.

While I think Blackmon is going to be a stud...I think we need a veteran reciever in free agency to get our reciever core going. That 4th pick is going to be intersting, especially if the rams decide to draft qb and get rid of bradford. No point in even talking about it, because so much is going to happen that we won't know what needs to be done until Free Agency happens

The schedule for 2012 looks brutal. We need a qb, a lb, a db, and a wr badly. Our pick will suck if both QB's go off the board before us. RB and RT are hard to take in the top 5, and Blackmon is good, but not the speedster our team needs at wr.

Browns defense finished 5th in the league in points allowed per game coming in at under 20 ppg surrendered. Offense finished 30th scoring less than 14 ppg. Pretty obvious the team needs offensive playmakers and a QB to get them the ball. D seems to be able to hold it's own.

But it can also be questioned as to whether the defense is that solid or if teams are just scoring what they need to, to win...knowing that they can run on a pourous run defense?

If they are gone, hope for a trade down. Heckert seems to LOVE CB's though.

While the defense had problems at times stopping the run, they really did play well enough to win a lot of the games they lost. With several upgrades on the offensive side, this team will compete.

Sounds like a mess with Santonio Holmes in NY. Wonder if the Jets will be looking to move him? If so they will be looking for a WR. Wonder if they are a potential team to trade up for Blackmon.

Yeah, with a halfway decent offense...they are probably top five overall, just because they aren't on the field 40 goddamn minutes a game.

Do we go blackmon, claiborne, richardson or trade out?

Every year you can find a WR or RB in free agency. The pick needs to be QB, CB, or tackle

I guess they have so many needs that I am ok with anything....other than Richardson. Not sure why, but I think RB is less of a need.

me too...newest mock I read had us taking him at 4..with luck, blackmon, kalil going 1-2-3. If he's as good as advertised, i wouldn't be too disappointed with it..just don't think heckert pulls the trigger on him unless no one is interested in a trade

I have a feeling that Kalil is going to be the one that slips to us. It would probably be a good pick, but I really think they need to make a sexy pick that gets the fanbase excited. If they somehow managed to trade up for Luck, the fans would be in a frenzy at the stores buying jerseys....lol

If Luck and RGIII are gone by the timeit gets to the 4th pick, I really wouldnt be that disappointed in taking Claiborine. Have him and Haden as the CBs and just move Sheldon Brown to safety, or try and get another safety through FA. I think having 2 potential "lock down" corners would be huge. Then they can take a WR with their 2nd 1st round pick.

I agree with you. I want Luck or RG3. Just becuase it adds excitement to this franchise. But I don't see either of those guys being there when we pick. Kalil will be a solid pick, but agree with you that it's just not the one the browns need

If RGIII is there you take him no question and watch your team become contenders.....if not then things get interesting.

If Kalil is there when they pick, which I doubt, you see if there's another team that needs a LT and trade DOWN. No way you take him at #4 to play RT....NO way. For what they'd have to pay him, the value just isn't there. It may sound weird but he'd be a "reach" at that spot to play RT. You just don't draft that position THAT high.

I don't want the Browns to get a first round lineman but if Decastro falls to them with the 2nd first rounder I hope they snag him. If they get Decastro and Mike Adams with there 2nd and 3rd pick I would be doing cartwheels.

Agreed with BR. You can't take a RT in the top 5. You can barely take a RB there as well. I'm not sold on RGIII, but we need a playmaker somewhere. I'd just like the team to be competitive again sometime soon. This season was terrible.

Priceless. Like the inbred fans didn't go nuts when Harrison cheapshotted McCoy. I think it was Durkie or S&L who said the bar they were in erupted when Harrison layed out that cheapshot...

Roethlisberger didn’t see Mendenhall get hurt, but said he was upset that
some Browns fans cheered his teammate’s misfortune.

“I’m really disappointed,” said Roethlisberger, who improved to 14-1 in
his career against Cleveland. “I know these Browns fans are passionate, but when
you hear fans cheer when a guy goes down that’s really disappointing. I don’t
care who it is or if you really hate that team.”

I'm not condoning the cheering but Ben's a hypocrite...go figure.
