This O-Line is going to be VERY good. There should be NO excuses for anyone. That's why I think they could surprise a lot of teams with a ball control type offense. Thomas & Mack are already studs. I expect Pinkston & Lauvao to make huge leaps this year after working with LCB at his O-Line school and I think Schwartz is going to be a stud.

My biggest concerns on offense are injuries. I'm actually more concerned about the defense in that I think it will be exposed this year for being overrated.

I will wait until I get excited about Schwartz, but I really do think Pinkston will be taking his game to the next level this season.

As for the defense, I don't buy that. 2 seasons ago they were a top 10 in points allowed I believe (or maybe it was red zone defense?). This was with the toughest schedule in the league, and far less talent than they had last year, and as well as this year. If the offense actually kept them off the field, they would be much tougher. You can tell the defense gets worn out toward the end of the season, because the offense comes in with their "3 and out" show every game.

Schwartz will be tested right away in the 1st 3 weeks.

Week 1 vs Jason Babin. probably one of the most underated DE's. Talk about a career resurgance with the Eagles 18 sacks last year and 30 in the last 2 years. He's thriving in that wide 9 technique. Sheard should watch this guys film.

week 2 he's going up against Carlos Dunlap. This guy is seriously good. When he's healthy, he's a force. 1st RD talent who dropped to the 2nd RD. 6'8 with a huge wingspan.

week 3 vs Chris Kelsay/Mark Anderson. Anderson had a huge year in 2011 and the Bills made him a priority in FA. He's been a feast or famine kind of producer. Kelsay is a blue collar guy lunch pail guy. both guys combined for 15 sacks in 2011.

Just like you'll "wait and see" on Schwartz, I'll wait and see on this defense. I think the secondary is going to get exposed/lit up like an Xmas tree against the QB's they'll face this year.

Some of you guys are a lot higher on this defense than I am. They won't be facing the Charlie Whitehurst's/Blaine Gabbert's/Kerry Collin's of the league this year. Believe me, I REALLY hope you're right and I'm wrong but I doubt it.

If he can push a Prowler around like that it's somewhat safe to say that his back is probably healed. That puts a lot of compression on the spine at that angle.

I think our secondary really depends on tj ward staying healthy. I was talking to a guy at work that's a huge steelers fan and he even said that the browns are definitely a team to look out for this year. We have some pretty good talent there just young. He said that he's worried about how good the browns o line will be especially with t rich in the back field and a qb that has a damn good arm and the pick up of Gordon

Your move, Browns...

Packers release SS Peprah after 5-INT season

Packers released SS Charlie Peprah.

Peprah received a $50,000 workout bonus in the spring and was due only $1 million in base salary. The move is a big surprise on the first day of training camp, although Peprah missed all of OTA season with knee woes and might not have been healthy. A 14-game starter in 2011, Peprah intercepted five passes and recorded 94 tackles. The Packers may turn to M.D. Jennings at strong safety, assuming they don't just move Charles Woodson there full time.

“The rookies really benefit from
getting out here and getting started,” Pat Shurmur said. “They look like they’re
in great shape."

BEREA—All of the Browns rookies and a few veterans, including
quarterbacks Colt McCoy, Seneca Wallace and Thaddeus Lewis took the field Wednesday to start
training camp.

They joined the headliners of the 2012 draft class in Trent Richardson, Brandon Weeden, Josh Gordon, Travis Benjamin and Mitchell Schwartz as players who are expected to
make an immediate impact on the Browns offense.

“The rookies really benefit from getting out here and getting started,” Pat
Shurmur said. “They look like they’re in great shape.

“We can see the benefit of the off-season program,” he said. “There’s a lot
of good, young talent out here.”

Starting with Richardson and Weeden, Shurmur said he expects to name the
starting quarterback ‘sooner than later’.

He said that in minicamp, but sounded as though he will name the starter
before the start of the first preseason game on Fri. Aug. 10 against the
Lions.

“I expected that (question),” Shurmur said. “Sooner is better than later. All
of the (quarterbacks) are out here working. I feel good about what I saw from
Brandon, Colt (McCoy) and Seneca (Wallace).”

Shurmur sounded like he might make an announcement pretty soon.

“It will be sooner than later,” he said. “It makes sense to name (the
starter) well before the start of games.”

Weeden said it doesn’t matter to him when the decision is made.

“It makes no difference,” he said. “I have not much control over that. When
the coaches are comfortable (with the decision), they’ll do it.” Weeden says
he’s much more comfortable with the Browns system since his arrival.

“I’ve grown a ton since day one to the last OTA when I felt in control,” he
said. Shurmur said Richardson looks good to him.

“He’s in better shape,” Shurmur said. “He got caught in the whirlwind, like
all of the top picks after the draft and he was a little out of shape.”
Richardson is very happy he didn’t hold out.

“It’s a blessing to be here,” Richardson said. “I think Brandon and me
learning together and both of us working hard to learn and be ready.”

Notebook

Big Guy: Rookie WR Josh Gordon looked the part in his first on the
field practice witnessed by the media. The 6-3, 225 second-round pick in the
recent supplemental draft was being taught after nearly every drill by the
coaches after having no off-season with the team. It appeared the coaches are
trying to get the rookie up to speed as quickly as possible.

“We did a lot of work with him privately,” Shurmur said. “We got to know him
very well to pick him in the supplemental draft. He’s big and strong and we’re
going to bring him along.”

Shurmur said his first impressions are that ‘He can be a great player’.

Weeden said he’s looking forward to pairing Gordon up with Greg Little.

“To have two guys that physically gifted on the field together,” he said.
“They will only make each other better.”

Four a Crowd?: The Browns currently have four quarterbacks in the
meeting room with Colt McCoy, Seneca Wallace, Brandon Weeden and Thaddeus Lewis,
but Weeden said he’s learning a lot from the veterans.

“We really have a good meeting room,” Weeden said. “I’m looking forward to
competing with those guys.”

Windsor Practices: WR Rod Windsor, who was on the practice squad last
year was taking part in the practices. Windsor is a one-year player from Western
New Mexico.

Off Thursday: The veterans are expected to report on Thursday and
after no practices open to the media on Thursday, the Browns veterans will
practice with the rookies on Friday from 2 pm to 4 pm. The first practice open
to the public will be on Saturday from 8:45 to 11:15.

No Holdouts: With none of the rookies holding out, it is expected the
entire roster will be on hand for when practices for the full roster begin
Friday.

I believe the Browns actually had some cheerleaders way back when. I hate to give cincy any credit in anything, but their cheerleaders are pretty hot even during the winter time. I'm sure Cleveland cheerleaders could do the same. Glad to see the idea of cheerleaders coming back, now they just need to bring back the clevlwand brownie.

As for those jerseys that were posted, they are completely hideous.

First agreed, those jerseys were gross. Don't fuck with the unis.

Second GFY, brownie sucks.

Third, Cleveland Browns cheerleaders would be WAAYYYY hotter than any 3 eyed redneck, backwater cthulhu that Cincy could produce. Its a scientific fact, girls look better in brown and orange than in black and orange.

The only thing I am worried about with cheerleaders is their safety. I hope the Browns increase security when Pittsburgh is in town. Wouldn't want Rapisterbeger attempting any rapes on them.

Wouldn't be surprsied if the writer knows Rizzo/Hammer and he made that prediction just to troll and lol at them bitching on the radio.
