This comes as a surprise to me but heard an analyst today who seems to think Claiborne is a lock to the Vikes at 3. I figured that Kalil was already penciled in there. Wonder if Cosell was right and Kalil could freefall?

Heckert will take advantage of Kalil falling to the Browns. No doubt in my mind.

Would be nice to trade rape the rams if that happens

I have my doubts. Due to there being no elite players at the top of this draft, teams sitting anywhere from 3-10 are all looking to trade down.

Literally 50/50 torn on this. On one hand, I think if we could trade down and get some more picks and take a RT later in the first or second round that would be great. But on the other hand I am starting to get annoyed at all this trading down; we have our picks, time to make them.

Don't know how I feel on it.

They won't have 13 picks by the end of this draft. I can see Heckert packaging picks to where they could end up with two 1st's. two 2nd's and two 3rd's. More trading up than down.

Big Greg Cosell fan, but this mock seems a bit crazy.
That is pretty fucking crazy. Also if Kalil isn't picked by the Vikings no way he falls past Buffalo. I could see Kalil falling tho and I've heard a lot of talk the past few days about the Vikings picking Blackmon or Claiborne.

The Browns will have the best Tackle since Long/JT to come into the draft. I think that gives them more leverage than any of the other players (blackmon, richardson, tannefail, floyd, etc). If they traded down to maybe 8, they probably could still get a pretty damn good playmaker too. It would be nice to pick up another first rounder for next year. Preferably from a shitty team this time. Browns could have the first 2 picks next year! lol.

After Cosell posted that mock, I heard he had the picks in the order he had the players ranked, NOT in the actual order he thought the draft would shake out.

You won't be saying that after they take Coples at 4. ;)

Maybe he should have dubbed it the "Full On Ratard Mock?"

So glad the draft is this week. I don't mind all the talk because it's been interesting, but I'm anxious to see what we do.

I have always payed attention to the draft, especially because my friend publishes a draft guide each year, but I think the explosion of twitter is destroying it. It feels like it has taken forever for this draft to get here. I am ready for it to be over this week, and for the Browns to know which way they are going. BTW, Holmgren is speaking at a luncheon for the Akron Chamber of Commerce on May 11th. Tickets are only $25 if anyone is interested (I'm not sure if it is open to everyone or only members of the chamber?).

But if we can trade down to 6 and pick up a 2nd this year and maybe a first next year and still get Richardson or Floyd at 6 you wouldn't do it? That would be amazing and ideal for the browns. Then we can take a rb/wr with our 2nd first a rt in the 2nd and an olb with our 2nd number 2. That fills 4 holes right there.

Thats dumb he shouldn't have called it a mock draft then. Call it draft rankings. Also I'd say those are even worse if its his rankings Gilmore at 3 LOL!

This is how I feel. It's information overload. It seems like the month of April has taken 3 months.

I didn't say I wouldn't do it. I said I can see both sides. At some point, you have to actually use your picks that you keep trading to get.

You have 13 picks, take your 13 picks, if you draft well you'll be in great shape for the future. Don't get cute with it.

I'm betting Kalil falls as well. However, for some reason I feel like the Browns will screw it up and no one will want to trade up. Then, in a frenzied rush after nothing shook out on the trade front, we will hurriedly make a selection that makes little to no sense.

Uggh...don't say that. Some dumbass conspiracy theorist called in to one of the sports talk shows today saying Holmgren would intervene and select Tannehill at #4 because he has 'always hated Cleveland" and would "intentionally sabotage the organization and then leave." I just shook my head. Thank God I'll be able to listen to Sirius NFL Radio tomorrow so I won't have to listen to some of the local dumbass callers.

I believe he had the teams draft the position he expects them to draft based on team need, but rather than mocking the player he expects he mocked his top rated player at the position.

Ex. Vikings getting a CB, but he has Gilmore as his top CB instead of Claiborne.

He says Richardson is his top rated player, but has the Browns taking him at 4.

I think he guessed on what position the team will draft, but then put his top rated player for that position in that slot.

That makes sense. And is kinda interesting but I still don't like his rankings of players.
