Look at what guys like Fitzgerald, Brandon Marshall, and Dwayne Bowe did with Kolb/Skelton/Matt Moore/Cassel/Orton/Palko throwing to them this year.

Reggie Wayne had his worst season in years, but still put up 75 catches for 960 yards with Curtis Painter throwing to him. Great receivers make plays without great quarterbacks.
Yeah and now look at the teams that these great WRs are on. Winning teams have a franchise QB with a good offensive scheme. You don't need great WRs you need WRs that fit the scheme

Everyone wants to throw all of these great receiving corps out there but what about Tom Brady? He's had Randy Moss and now Gronk. Brady has MADE Wes Welker what he is today. Other than that, he hasn't had sh#t for receivers (and don't bring up Deion Branch...he's nothing special).

Someone PLEASE tell me which elite WR has carried their team to a championship with a middle of the road QB? While, we could probably name quite a few Elite QB's would have carried their teams to titles with not so great receivers.

Exactly my point. To me drafting a WR in the 1st round this year is pointless for the Browns

That has absolutely nothing to do with what I said.

You said the difference between most good and average receivers is the QB. That isn't true at all.

Preaching to the choir. Unless they get someone capable of getting them the ball, drafting Blackmon is a waste running him on 3-5 yard pass patterns to accentuate McCoy's "skillset."

You have exceptions with some of the great WRs that will put up numbers no matter what. (Fitz, Andre Johnson, Wayne, Marshall)

I'm talking about guys like (Welker, Cruz, Nicks, Colston, Jordy Nelson, Antonio Brown) who fit well in a scheme. Put these guys an teams with a poor QB and they are nothing but average.

Agree with this. The second group you posted wouldn't be nearly as effective with McCoy throwing them the ball.

I'm in on trading with the rams, do they can get Blackmon and hopefully we can get Claiborne. Him, ward, and Haden sounds nice.

If you trade with the Rams you make them bleed from the ass. I'm talking both their 2nd's this year and a future 1st, at a MINIMUM. Otherwise, choose another trading partner. The Browns weren't good enough for the trade up but now you want to trade back up with us? On your knees and call me "daddy."

I definitely agree with this. Fuck them. They can go fuck themselves with that lucky ass trade.

Well since the deal with Washington isn't complete till Tuesday why doesn't heckert just offer a little bit more to the rams if they really want rg3? Technically the trade isn't complete so really they could.

Steve Hutchinson to be released:
Hutchinson was swiped from the Seahawks via a poison-pill offer when Mike Holmgren was the coach in Seattle and Brad Childress was the coach in Minnesota. They both now work for the Browns, and we’d be surprised if Hutchinson doesn’t end up there, too.
