Article on espn.com said the browns were offering three 1st rounders too. Said cleveland thought they were going to get a deal done.

If RGIII plugs the hole they have had at QB forever now, I am sure Synder will think it is the best trade they ever made.

It is a steep price, but it's also the absolute hardest piece to get.

What a bounty though. 3 1sts and a 2nd will help rebuild a team (that has their franchise QB) quickly.

Even at that price though I am sure if they didn't have Bradford they would have drafted RGIII themselves and left those picks on the table because a QB is that important with the way the league is now.

Somewhere in Berea they are breathing a sigh of relief that they can bring in the guy they want now.

That's mildly surprising, but not a total shock. I would have guessed 2 firsts (4 and 22), a 2nd and a 3rd or something like that. The people who didn't think it would take more than 4 and 22 were crazy. Franchise QBs are at an all-time premium.

Very glad it didn't happen though, even though I'm a huge RGIII fan.

There are maybe 5 players in the NFL worth 3 first round picks.

How about a link to that ESPN article. I don't see it.

Also the redskins are fucking idiots, /story. Shitty o line, and they have no picks to build it up. Dan synder does not know how to run a team.

Browns still have a lot of options at the 4 spot imo. Kalil, Claiborne, and Blackmon... 2 of the 3 will be available. If it's Blackmon, I can see a team trading up for him.

Kalil is almost a lock to Minnesota at 3 from what I have seen. Claiborne is going to be our guy.

The Cleveland Browns had stepped up their efforts to try to acquire the No. 2 pick in recent days, going so far as to offer at least three No. 1 picks to the Rams and possibly even the second-round pick, according to one source familiar with the deal.

I can see a top 10 team wanting to trade up for Blackmon.

I don't buy it.

Haha alright I would definitely not buy that.

Schefter reporting it makes me sad though. If they were that committed to getting RGIII then McCoy is obviously done. I'm not sad about that, but it makes me think we'll either get Flynn or Tannehill, and fuck that noise.

I am wondering if a deal could have been made earlier for less of a cost if they had been more aggressive before the Manning thing came down because Washington had been really interested in waiting on him. I doubt a week ago they would have offered the 3 #1's if they thought they could be a legit player for Peyton.

The price was too high....time to move on. Rg3 might end up an all pro, but Washington will be shit as long as Snyder is pulling shit like this and the haynesworth deal.

Suit yourself. I would gladly take the picks including another first rounder next year to build a team that has many needs. Especially if that pick would turn into a top 5 or top 10 pick.

It's crazy how impatient some of you guys are.

3 #1s plus a #2 is too much. Glad the Browns didn't get BFed by the rams with this BS. That being said, Browns still have an issue as Colt sucks.

Elite players won't all be gone after the first 10 picks.

I am ok with trading down, but I will never accuse our fans of being impatient....just because this organization has been a joke since 99. I understand...why people wanted to over extend to get rg3....desperate fans

I was just trying to be nice. Desperate is the right word. Also as Mulva pointed out, all elite players won't be gone after the first 10 picks.
