I saw them in Cincinnati a few weeks ago. Overall it was a really good show, but it lasts around 2 hours if I remember right. The singers are great but we couldn't really understand them, though not sure if that was them or US Bank Arena.

Haven't seen them in a couple of years. Kind of a downer to see them after Christmas isn't it if they're doing their Christmas show? (Then again, I used to see them in Youngstown. It was usually their first show of the season and it was Halloween.)

I saw them like 4 years ago and 2 years ago in Toledo...Both times it was hard to make out the words they were singing.Terry_Tate;1031345 wrote:I saw them in Cincinnati a few weeks ago. Great show, I'm usually ready to leave at intermission though when they start the non-Christmas stuff.

Yeah it does kinda suck when its after Christmas. We've gone every year for 10 years though, it's one of our favorite things about Christmas time.GoPens;1031347 wrote:Haven't seen them in a couple of years. First year not going.
The whole after Christmas thing sucks.
While it's great for them, they were better when they played places like EJ Thomas hall. The acoustics suck in the big arena

I went this year to Nationwide arena and saw them for the first time. Enjoyed it quite a bit.
I liked it better AFTER the Christmas stuff a bit better. There are quite a few long, boring songs that they sing, and i get it, that is when the other people get a break. If you go..those are the times to go to the bathroo.
They didnt have an intermission at the Columbus show. Maybe because the shows were at 3 and 730. Went to teh 3pm one and it was 520 or so when they were done.
Def a fun time. I didnt know much of their stuff other than the couple of songs that are on the radio but it was still very entertaining.

Trans-Siberian Orchestra sucks. Go listen to some hair metal and you get the same sound.

Trans-Siberian Orchestra (TSO) is an American progressive metal band[SUP][1][/SUP] founded in 1993 by producer, composer, and lyricist Paul O'Neill, who brought together Jon Oliva and Al Pitrelli (both members of Savatage) and keyboardist and co-producer Robert Kinkel to form the core of the creative team. Since then, TSO sold more than 9 million concert tickets and over 8 million albums.[SUP][2][/SUP] The band's musical style incorporates classical, orchestral, symphonic, and progressive elements into hard rock and heavy metal. The band has released a series of rock operas: Christmas Eve and Other Stories, The Christmas Attic, Beethoven's Last Night, The Lost Christmas Eve (the final installment of their Christmas trilogy), and their two-disc Night Castle. Trans-Siberian Orchestra is also known for their extensive charity work and elaborate concerts, which include an orchestra, a light show, lasers, pyrotechnics, moving trusses, video screens, and effects synchronized to music.[SUP][3][/SUP]
Both Billboard Magazine and Pollstar have ranked them as one of the top ten ticket-selling bands in the first decade of the new millennium.[SUP][4][/SUP][SUP][[/SUP]

They were amazing as usual. Nothing can beat Cleveland Rocks to close the show.

Saw them at Nationwide this year. It was cool and did a good job, but it was too long. And I don't necessarily think I would want to go ahead. One of those things where it's cool to see once.

I woulda like to have had an intermission. It was longer than I thought. When they played their signature song at about the 50 minute mark of the show I said to myself....'this looksl ike their grand finale, this is a complete ripoff if its only this short".thedynasty1998;1032200 wrote:Saw them at Nationwide this year. I think if they cut down some of those solos it would help. Some of those seemed like they lasted F O R E V E R.
I would probably go back. maybe not every year, but every couple maybe, depending on the funds as it wasnt a cheap show.
