The first game will be played on December 29th at 6:00 and features perennial power Dayton Dunbar vs. Massilon Perry. The nightcap features host Berlin Hiland versus Columbus Brookhaven and is planned to tip at 7:45.
The third game will be played on December 30th at 6:00. The Reese Center will host TCC versus Maple Heights in the opener and Hiland versus Worthington Christian in the second game. Come out and watch some great basketball featuring teams from around the state!

I wish Hiland could have played Dunbar. It'd be the best team they'd play all year, even including the potential DIV state tournament. A great test and measuring stick it could have been. But I guess keeping open the possibility of a completely undefeated season is a nice goal, as well.

We went down to Dunbar in 2006-07 and we were just out-gunned, and then they came here the next year and won handily. Would like another crack at them, but Brookhaven isn't chopped liver, are they? Don't know much about them.

That is Brookhaven's record as of 12/27. I read they have a couple of talented guards.

I'm likely going to tonight's games. Thanks for making us aware. I heard that the games aren't sold out, and if we're there by the start of the 1st game, we should be fine to get in.

it was full but not 'sold out' last night, some Perry faithfull stuck around but most including Dunbar left opening many seats on the visiting sides. The Hiland side where season ticket holders sit was full. Not sure what kind of a following Worthington Christian brings, would like to see hawks spank them good for the soccer teams sake. TCC and Maple Heights ..... no clue

Dunbar was pretty awe inspiring weren't they?
So was Seger with his passing.
Hesston, we owe WC a humiliating beat down for all the agony they have caused us in regional soccer.

Seger definitely had a few "wow" passes last night. Not sure how he knew Neil was there when he had that no-look strike from the free throw line.
And as already mentioned, I'm sure there will be some Hiland soccer faithful hoping for no mercy tonight

Seger told me that he did see Neil - that it was a peripheral vision thing - but like you, I couldn't believe he made that pass as accurately as he did.

Would have liked to see Hiland - Dunbar matchup...some of those Dunbar kids have to be football players...there were shoulders on some of those kids that were pretty impressive...

Hiland 69
Worthington Christian 36
At times Hiland had a little trouble with WC's defense. Probably the only game in Kaufman's nearly four year varsity career he did not score a field goal. #15 for WC was in his shorts all night. Didn't matter as others stepped up offensively. Jason Miller was left wide open several times on double team and made them pay with three. Gingrich was scoring nearly everytime he got his hands on the ball. Ropp of the bench was just shy of double figures. Seger got it done as well. Just too many big guns in the arsenal for many teams to handle.
