Just noticed that it's on STO right now. Almost half time.
Great game, great names from the past.

Best part about this season was Michigan beating #1 OSU.

If it is the 1969 Rose Bowl, wouldn't that be the 1968 season? Michigan got spanked by Ohio State. It was the '69 season following the 1969 Rose Bowl that UM beat OSU.WebFire;1027439 wrote:Best part about this season was Michigan beating #1 OSU.

I'm guessing you didn't have any idea what happened in either of these seasons.DeyDurkie5;1027475 wrote:nice fail...such an idiot web

Everything after "idea" was just excess typing.WebFire;1027538 wrote:I'm guessing you didn't have any idea what happened in either of these seasons.

Wasn't that 50-14 beatdown on TSUN the game where Woody went for two at the end ("because they wouldn't let me go for three")?

I put this on the DVR yesterday and watched it last night. Curt Gowdy was an incompetent boob even at that point in his career. Loved the old graphics and NBC's limited use of replay. If nothing else, it shows how far both football and broadcasting have come in nearly 43 years.
The other standout for me was the overall team speed of the Buckeyes and how they put a lot of hats on the ball.
Liked the references to Al Cowlings as well. Little did we know then that his biggest claim to fame would be driving a Ford Bronco at low speeds.
