I'm sure it happens, but I can't remember the NFL Final Week going against the New Year's Day Bowl games.

What's everyone going to watch? I'll hopefully get to watch Steelers/Browns at 4:15, but they might show Bengals/Ravens. The 1:00 games aren't as good but might watch Pats/Bills

I'll flip to the Rose Bowl and other bowls....but NFL will dominate my watching that day.

I've got a pretty good memory for sports and I just don't remember the Rose Bowl ( when it wasn't the BCS Champion decider) not being on the 1st....same with Outback, Gator and the others.

Not saying you're wrong....but surprised I don't remember this occurring.

Look at the history of the Rose Bowl game on wikipedia. Every 6 years I think is on the 2nd.

Although the last time it happened was 95, because the other years the Rose Bowl was the BCS title Game and was the last game played. Could be why you don't remember.

Has the NFL in the past been done with the regular season and just had 2 playoff games on that day?

Anyways....good news!
